Amazing staff. I have never been to a medical appointment (primary or dental) where every single care team member is incredibly kind and compassionate before Homeland Avenue Dentistry. As an AUDHD adult with severe anxiety surrounding dentistry I actually cried today I felt so understood, cared for, and not judged.

If possible judgement has been holding you back from treatment, this is the place for you.

Great professional office the staff is very nice. I just wish I didn't have to do 3 appointments, one stretching out to February 😮‍💨. I always wish the initial visit would be more than just x-ray and consultation.

It’s been 6-7 years since I’ve been to the dentist. Reading some of the reviews, I almost cancelled my appointment, but I’m glad I didn’t. Here’s my experience: I called and got and got an appointment that was scheduled two months out. I had an easy time getting staff on the phone. I had mid-morning appointment and was called back immediately with no wait time. I had several different x-rays, which was a much easier and pleasant process than I’ve experienced in the past. Dr. April came in and told me about the six cavities I have and told me to schedule two appointments to have them addressed— one appointment for one side of my mouth and one appointment for the other side. Dr.

April was delightful and did not try to push unnecessary or unneeded procedures. After the x-rays and speaking with Dr. April, I proceeded with the appointment by having a cleaning the same day. The hygienist was fantastic! Upon check-out, I scheduled both of those appointments for just a little over a month out (as I have no time limitations in my schedule). The front desk staff was kind and professional. I saw signs hung up that said patients are required to confirm their appointment at least 24hrs in advance or their appointment would be cancelled. I don’t recall confirming my appointment (and thankfully they didn’t cancel it), but I do think this is something that should be noted over the phone and in text/email to ensure patients are fully aware of this policy. I was not aware of the policy prior to reading the signs in the office. I also don’t recall signing a form agreeing to this policy.

If this isn’t a form you have patients sign, I think this might be helpful. The office isn’t state-of-the-art updated, but it was clean, comfortable, and appropriate. The entire office I came in contact with were kind and accommodating with my young child accompanying me to the appointment. Overall, I am extremely thankful for the office, their staff, and the work they put in. Based on my experience today, I would absolutely recommend Homeland Avenue Dentistry to anyone. Note: While I am a real patient, I am using an alternate name on this review to protect my privacy.
