Unfortunately, I had a horrible experience here. I go to the dentist every 6 months, I actually enjoy getting my teeth cleaned. My other dentist (sister dentist to Hopkins Crossroads) referred me here as they had to cancel my appointment, and I could get in here sooner. I have never had anything wrong with my teeth/gums and as of September 2024 (7 months ago) everything was great. Today I was told I have 4's and 5's, I have bone loss, and I will be needing a deep clean, root cleaning, lasering on my gums. I asked if they were sure as I go to their other location and for the past 7 years, and everything had been more than ok.

They said yes and I need to do it. I declined as it was $1160. They then refused to clean my teeth for me. I wish I would've read about the countless other reviews for first timers at this location.

I went to this dentist last year, and they told me I needed a deep cleaning due to supposed gum issues, along with a crown. They quoted me $780 for the deep cleaning and $1,800 for the crown, and said they would also bill my insurance. I decided to get a second opinion, and the new dentist confirmed that my gums are completely healthy and that I didn’t need a crown at all. My husband also went to this same dentist and had a similar experience, they told him he needed extensive work, charged him a total of $1,400, and also used our insurance. On top of that, they automatically subscribed us to a weekly newsletter via email, which has been very annoying.

I’ve tried to unsubscribe more than once but haven’t been successful. We’re very disappointed and frustrated. I’m so glad i got a second opinion and avoided unnecessary and very expensive treatments.

I have had all great experiences with this office. Dentist, Salma Refaat, is excellent! The two receptionists in front are super welcoming, friendly and helpful! My dentist and her dental assistants are so compassionate and caring and have been so helpful in my dental health journey.

They offer credit options, payment plans and quick appointment times for when you're having dental emergencies. They've made my smile so much prettier, and healthier!

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! First, DO NOT let the positive reviews mislead you. Due to the undeniable consistency in the “negative” reviews, I wish I had looked deeper before going back here yet again. I deeply regret my optimism in having them attempt to remedy my crown this last time as it was the worst experience yet. My experience was similar to the other 1 star reviews. Expensive gum disease procedure pushed on me immediately, charges that are unclear/unnamed on insurance, AND I had a crown placed that fell off TWICE in less than 6months!!! The first time after a few months of it initially being placed, and the second after only a few weeks… Both times while eating soft foods, and it was not loose or gave me any warning before it fell off… I regrettably returned for them to glue it back on this second time, and should have just taken my loss at that point and gone elsewhere… The dentist seemed rushed in attempting to place it back on. It was the most painful experience yet, and after telling her several times that my bite was not right/felt uneven.

. she attempted to drill it down to adjust it and eventually gave up saying I should give it a few days because I probably just adjusted to how it felt without it, despite it only being a day. At the “end” of my appointment she mentioned that I was due in July for a cleaning, and I expressed that I wasn’t interested in scheduling that at this time. She just walked out of the room without saying anything… I was honestly so confused and after sitting for a moment in disbelief, unsure if I was done or if she was going to come back- I just grabbed my stuff, left, and promptly called to make an appointment elsewhere. It was very unprofessional experience beyond the poor job done. I can’t chew without pressure/sensitivity/pain on the crown, or even bite down normally and am concerned it’s causing further damage than what it was initially suppose to be fixing.

I don’t know whether to laugh or cry at this point. I do know that I wont be returning. Hopefully they will send my x-rays promptly, as it seems that’s also been an issue for multiple people over the years too… I’ll update once I get a second opinion, but felt it was important to warn others so hopefully they won’t make the same mistake I did in coming here. 😭🙏
