I've had great experiences with every dental hygienist at this office when I come in for teeth cleaning; the front desk staff is also excellent. However, it is deeply disappointing that the one person I had a horrendous experience with was Dr. Benedict Lui himself. I came in for a consultation on whether or not I should proceed with an orthodontic treatment, as a previous hygienist had informed me that I should consider braces. While I understand that Dr. Lui is not an orthodontist, it was to my understanding that the office still offered Invisalign services, so I decided to get a professional opinion on it anyway. During the appointment, I was met with the most hostility I'd ever experienced in a health/patientcare setting.
Instead of directly answering my question of whether or not he thought I should proceed with some sort of treatment, I was met with extreme aggression and unnecessary comments. He told me that my situation was beyond the scope of what simple orthodontics could achieve, and suggested that I have a surgery that would break then realign my jaw. He also said that I should do osteotherapy. However, he said these things very unkindly and also did not suggest HOW I could get started on these very extreme very expensive solutions. He just kept throwing these extreme suggestions in my face with that bad attitude. He also said to me, "You don't have any cheekbones. You know how those supermodels have cheekbones? You don't have any.
", which is honestly just weird to begin with, but highly inappropriate to say to a patient. When I went to another dentist and visited two orthodontists, all they suggested was braces or Invisalign. When I asked whether or not jaw surgery was necessary in my case, all of them said that it was not. I sincerely hope that Dr. Lui retakes a medical ethics and a 'how to talk to patients 101' class because clearly he failed both in dental school. Awful.

I had very bad experience with dr Li and her associates today when I did my teeth wash and fixing teeth at Markham location 11am at April 27. 2023. First of all , they was talking too much non sense things and make jokes lots in front of me . I feel like they not respect me as a patient . Not professional at all . Especially her assistant, she even said my teeth looks like over 60 years old . Very rude . very unprofessional. Very terrible service .
And also they said I had too much saliva . All makes me feel very upset for this service . Very unprofessional. Very bad experience. I never had this bad experience before in other clinics. They told me I had too much saliva. In front of me . the ends up , they didn’t give me any paper to sign confirm with my payments . I have insurance coverage.
But they at least should let me know how much they charged. All ended up with unprofessional and rude service . This is Canada , very polite country. every job SHOULD be RESPECTED to people. This clinic SHOULD Shut down immediately. And I already submitted my complaints to Ontario consumer agency for this issue .

The staffs and dentists are okay but for some unknown reasons, they called to reschedule my appointments every single time. The way they approached these calls was always very casual with no apologies whatsoever, as if we were simply moving a grocery shopping trip out 30 mins, while these were appointments that were booked months ago. I couldn't deal with all these changes anymore so I ended up switching to another dentist, whose office has always been able to keep the original appointment times.
This place needs better management.
