I had two cavities filled and I’m so sensitive that I’m getting headaches. The areas where they injected my mouth hurts as well and it’s been 4 days. This has never happened to me before. I did call and am going back next Monday but when I was there initially, she did the bite test and I said it was too high.
She then took it down and I said it was good…. For some reason she took it down lower and ALSO - my floss keeps getting snagged and fraying when I floss. I should’ve known though because when I’min the waiting room I always hear about people calling about discomfort. Is this where they send all the interns? My bite is so off my teeth don’t even touch…(photo attached)

I love this clinic. Everyone is personable, and they take time to listen and explain things to me. Dental appointments are scary enough, having cold people working on your teeth makes the experience worse. I am glad I found this clinic. Special shoutout to Sidney, Alex and Dr. Ghiba for always making this experience positive, i actually look forward to coming back when I need to!

From the moment I walked into Hudec Dental in Cleveland Heights, I knew I was in great hands. The front desk coordinator, Alex, immediately set the tone with a warm greeting and a pleasant attitude. His professionalism and positive demeanor created a welcoming atmosphere that helped ease any anxiety I had walking into the appointment. The star of my visit was Sidney, the primary dental assistant. Sidney was an absolute standout. She was not only knowledgeable and efficient, but also brought an uplifting energy to the room that made the entire experience far more enjoyable than any dental visit I’ve had before. Her ability to keep the mood light, comforting, and reassuring without sacrificing professionalism is something you don’t come across often.
She made sure I was at ease from start to finish, walking me through each step and checking in to make sure I was comfortable throughout the procedure. Johnnetta, the secondary assistant, also provided excellent support. Her teamwork with Sidney was seamless, and together they made the entire process feel smooth and stress-free. It’s clear both of them take pride in patient care, and their attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed. Dr. Ghiba was the perfect balance of professional and approachable. He explained every detail of my procedure clearly, addressed my concerns with patience, and ensured I understood what was going on at every stage.
It’s always reassuring to have a doctor who doesn’t just perform a procedure, but truly takes the time to communicate and connect with their patients. All in all, Hudec Dental in Cleveland Heights exceeded my expectations. The combination of excellent care, a positive environment, and a team that genuinely cares about their patients made this a five-star experience. I’ll absolutely be returning and recommending this office to family and friends. If you’re looking for a dental team that treats you with respect, kindness, and top-notch professionalism, look no further.

I rarely (if ever?) leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience in hopes it helps others make informed decisions. I went in for a routine cleaning (Cleveland Heights location) and was told I had a small cavity between two teeth. After having it filled, I experienced significant sensitivity—indicating that dentin may have been left exposed—and noticed the surface of my tooth felt rough. I returned to have this fixed and ended up needing the entire filling redone, which was both inconvenient and time-consuming. Both appointments lasted over two hours due to long wait times (over 45 minutes each). After the filling was redone, the tooth was left so sharp that it actually cut my mouth multiple times.
When I went back again to have this addressed, the dentist buffed the tooth, but the surface now feels even worse—like sandpaper. Even more concerning was the way I was treated when I raised these issues at both appointments. Instead of addressing my concerns professionally, the dentist made passive-aggressive remarks, told me I was overthinking it, and repeatedly stated that no other patients had ever complained about this before. The subtext of these comments was, essentially, “the problem isn’t me, it’s you”—which felt dismissive and unprofessional. (After all, who wants to keep going back to the dentist during their work day just to have a filling redone?) Unfortunately, it seemed that my feedback was received through the lens of ego rather than with a problem-solving mindset, which led to defensiveness rather than resolution. I’ve had multiple fillings over the years and have never experienced this issue—either with the quality of the work or the way concerns were handled.
There was a clear lack of accountability, and my reasonable requests to have the tooth properly smoothed and adjusted appeared to be taken personally, which affected the quality of care I received. I now need to go elsewhere to have the issue corrected, as I no longer trust this provider to resolve it appropriately. While the office staff is friendly, I would not recommend this facility for high-quality dental care.
