We have been going to Hudsonville Dental Kids for the past 2 years. Each experience has been a positive one, including dental work for a 3 and 4 year old! The staff is great and incredibly friendly. I would recommend this dentist to anyone with kids in the area.

Their office model is one of policy and profits over compassion and understanding. My daughter had been going there for over 10 years until today. My daughter has special needs and would be driven there by me until she moved out on her own. She and I constantly work on her becoming more responsible. However, her disabling conditions greatly impact her health and memory, which have resulted in missed appointments. After receiving a letter for payment of a missed appointment, I contacted the office.

The young lady I spoke with was very kind and understanding, but the office manager WAS NOT. I was advised that since she had missed six appointments, she is no longer welcomed there. Ironically, it was mentioned that there was nothing in my daughter's file that explained her condition, etc. All of the contact information on file was directed to me (e-mail, phone number, and mailing address), yet NOT ONCE did anyone from the office contact me to address the missed appointments. Furthermore, I was advised that she did not contact the office regarding her last missed appointment. That is incorrect, because I made the call to explain that she was ill.

Lastly, I have never seen or heard of an office policy demanding a 48 hour notice if a patient cannot make their appointment. That is a day more than the standard practice of a 24 hour notice. You would have to be a psychic to foresee illness, traffic delays, emergencies, etc. to comply with their rigidness.

We had a wonderful experience at Hudsonville Dental Kids Dental! The staff is incredibly patient and friendly, making my child feel comfortable from start to finish. The office is bright, clean, and kid-friendly, with plenty of fun distractions.

The dentist took the time to explain everything in a gentle and reassuring way. I highly recommend this practice for anyone looking for a stress-free and positive dental visit for their little ones!
