I had a dental emergency and needed a new dentist. There are so many dental offices popping up on every street corner. It can be so overwhelming to chose one. So happy I chose Hyde Park Dentistry. It has been the best dental experience that I've ever had. The office is very bright and modern.

I was referred here after my dentist retired. I experienced the most aggressive and painful cleaning of my life and was feeling sore and in pain for almost 36 hours after the fact. It is a nice enough practice, however I was told after my incredibly painful cleaning that I have 4 cavities. This was incredibly shocking to me, as I brush and floss regularly. When I got my insurance quote and they quoted me for 6.

When I called back to double check, the receptionist was adamant that I had 6 cavities, despite having been told in the dentist chair that I only had 4 by the dentist. A week later, there was another quote that one of the 6 "cavities" was going to be a replacement that wouldn't be covered by my insurance. Something the dentist never mentioned. I had my x-rays sent to other dentists for second and third opinions, as well as an in person visit and both informed me that I don't have a single cavity in my mouth, much less anything that needs to be replaced. I think it's absolutely infuriating that they are claiming there are 6 cavities in my mouth despite the fact that there is nothing wrong with my teeth.

I am fortunate that I was able to get second and third opinions before they put all the "fillings" in my mouth. I will not be returning, and am warning others to seriously consider going to this dentist, unless they want to be lied to and mislead for a profit. I know that there will be a reply saying that "professional opinions may vary" and that "we strive to provide honest and thorough care", but this is not true. How can one dentist tell me I have 6 cavities, but two other dentists will tell me that I have none? That's not a difference in professional opinion, that's misleading patients.
