Detailed Introduction

Invisalign is a globally recognized brand that has revolutionized the field of orthodontics by offering a clear, removable, and comfortable alternative to traditional metal braces. Developed by Align Technology, a leading medical device company founded in 1997, Invisalign utilizes a series of custom-made, virtually invisible plastic aligners to gradually shift teeth into their desired positions. Core Technology and Process: The Invisalign system is built upon advanced digital technology. The treatment typically begins with a comprehensive consultation with an Invisalign-trained dentist or orthodontist. During this initial phase, a precise 3D digital scan of the patient's teeth is taken, often using an iTero™ intraoral scanner. This scan, combined with the doctor's expertise, is used to create a unique digital treatment plan, mapping out the exact movements of each tooth from beginning to end. Patients can even preview their projected new smile. Based on this digital plan, a series of custom-made aligners are fabricated using Align Technology's patented SmartTrack™ material. This BPA-free, smooth, and lightweight thermoplastic is engineered to apply gentle, constant forces to the teeth, ensuring more predictable and often faster tooth movements compared to some other methods. Patients wear each set of aligners for approximately one to two weeks, typically for 20 to 22 hours per day, only removing them for eating, drinking anything other than water, brushing, and flossing. Regular check-ups with the Invisalign provider monitor progress and ensure the treatment stays on track. Key Benefits and Advantages: Virtually Invisible: One of the most significant advantages of Invisalign is its discreet appearance. The clear aligners are nearly unnoticeable, allowing individuals to straighten their teeth without the aesthetic concerns often associated with traditional braces. Removable: Unlike fixed braces, Invisalign aligners are removable. This offers unparalleled flexibility, allowing patients to eat and drink whatever they desire without restrictions and to maintain excellent oral hygiene by brushing and flossing normally. Comfort: Made from a smooth plastic material, Invisalign aligners are designed for comfort, minimizing the irritation and mouth sores often caused by metal brackets and wires. While some initial pressure may be felt when switching to a new set of aligners, this indicates that the treatment is effectively working. Predictable Results: Backed by decades of innovation and a vast database of over 20 million treated cases, the Invisalign system, with its SmartTrack material, SmartForce features, and SmartStaging technology, aims for highly predictable tooth movements and outcomes. Addresses Various Issues: Invisalign can treat a wide range of orthodontic issues, from simple to complex cases, including crowded teeth, gaps, overbites, underbites, crossbites, and open bites, for both teens and adults, and even children as young as six with the Invisalign® Palatal Expander System. Improved Oral Hygiene: The removability of the aligners makes it easier to maintain proper oral hygiene, reducing the risk of plaque buildup, tooth decay, and gum disease that can be more challenging to prevent with traditional braces. Company and Global Presence: Invisalign is a flagship product of Align Technology, Inc., headquartered in Tempe, Arizona, USA. The company has a global presence, making the Invisalign system available in over 90 countries. Align Technology continuously invests in research and development, integrating new innovations like 3D printing technology, advanced software algorithms, and new aligner materials to enhance the quality and efficiency of orthodontic and restorative dental treatment.

I love Monroe Orthodontics! I love Dr. Alex, he has done such a excellent job on my teeth the braces feel great and I could see a change within fourty-eight hours! His assistant Stephanie is the sweetest person I have ever met. I look forward to seeing her every time I go there.

The front office is welcoming and joyful, you can really feel at home there. I'm so happy my mom took me there because I would not have liked to have gone anywhere else!
