My partner received fillings from this office, and continues to have pain related to the site, now a week and a half later. One of the fillings in the back right side, you can visibly see is correctly placed, and she has no pain nor swelling related to this tooth. However, the tooth in the front of it has no visible filling (other than the very edges), and appears to be a hole there. She has tremendous pain associated with it, pain when she opens to speak from the air rushing in, severe pain when eating or drinking and cannot handle more than soft foods at room temperature (anything mildly hotter or cold than room temperature causes sharp pains). When she came back to the office, an xray was taken, and the dr claimed it appeared normal despite the symptoms she stated.

In my opinion, his office has been very unsympathetic towards this whole situation offering no more than “recovery takes 3-4 weeks”, and nothing for the related pain management at the very MINIMUM when she eats or drinks. I myself have had two fillings in my lifetime, and I also had these same symptoms requiring follow up assessments . Despite my X-rays showing no issues, he had no problem filling once more (after he had first sterilized the area to the best of his ability) to ensure there wasn’t even microscopic gaps: in fact on a 3rd appt he filed it down to suit the expressions of my lower teeth to ensure MY comfort. She has a fear of dentists—-it was at my urging she went to the dentist to even begin with. Update: after going to a different dentist office, per the X-rays they had taken, she needed a root canal to correct the work.

Turns out, the pain she has been feeling was correct in that there was a flaw with her filling, and she had also developed an abscess. Once corrected, her pain resolved literally over night: the next day she was back to eating like she had weeks prior.
