I have been going to Island Dental for over 12 years now and have been very happy with my experience there ever since I originally found them! I recently needed a cavity filled and Dr. Blum was absolutely wonderful! He made me feel comfortable and talked me through the process to keep my mind at ease. The office is very clean and I felt they were taking all precautions to keep everyone safe.

I have been coming to this top notch dental practice for 25+ years now. Dr. Hershenhorn, Lydia, and staff are a wonderful team. During this entire time, Lydia especially, has treated me with such professionalism, kindness, understanding, and patience as I am certainly not the easiest patient to deal with. She is extremely skilled, confident, knowledgeable, patient friendly and always has my best dental health and hygiene in mind.

She is literally the only hygienist I will allow to treat me. She’s special and her perpetual smile is always very reassuring to me. I recommend her highly. Charles Melville

Going here completely changed my feelings about the dentist. I used to be completely terrified but Dr Dowse and Lisa have made going to the dentist something to look forward to. Saying I feel comfortable there is an understatement. They are very personable, both take the time to listen to you, and even helped me put my preferred name into their system which was amazing.

Lisa always relieves my anxiety before the dental work which makes a huge difference. Also, the numbing shots barely hurt from the way Dr. Dowse does it! I would HIGHLY recommend both of them to anyone, especially those who are scared of the dentist!!!
