Poor experience with Dr Herzog dental office. I am a regular customer for 3 years and the new receptionist was rude and unprofessional. She refused my paid appointment when I arrived a couple minutes late and recalled her earlier saying that they allow 15 minutes grace period. She ignored my questions and blocked my calls when I want to ask for clarifications. She also told me "we will not see you today when I called about my appointment 5 minutes ahead of time". I told her I'm a paying customer and I'm calling a few minutes from my appointment, how can you refuse my service? She told me because i told her I'm planning on switching dentists, she has the right to refuse my service. I didn't do anything wrong but apparently if there is any problem, they can refuse customer and charge late fees at any point. I'd like to speak with Mark directly but she also refused. When I arrived, she called security and Mark also told me I should leave without talking to me. This clinic doesn't care about its patients especially the new receptionist. i don't know what stories she told Dr Herzog but she is telling a double sided story to patients. 15 minute grace period or not, she doesn't treat all patients equally.

I don't know what happened to this clinic. It was a good facility at the start, now I no longer recognize it. Please do not go there!! They can cancel your appointment on you and hang up your calls if there is any conflict. It’s also not ok to threaten your patients, receptionist stating “if anything happens, we still have all your personal info on file”. Mark, if you care about your patients and not just about profits, you'd give them a chance to talk to you in private. Your receptionist seems temperamental and unreliable as she has her own agenda. 1. It's not ok for receptionist to tell patients that "you will not see them today" 5 minutes before appointment. If I am a paying customer and I need to give 24-48 hours advance notice to cancel, why you can cancel the appointment 5 minutes before?? 2. It's not ok for receptionist to hang up on patients (even when they feel call isn't productive), block call, and cancel appointments without confirming with patient that this is what he wants to do. Patient has more questions and doesn't know whether to come to appointment. 3.

Talk to your patients about situations, seems you are solely relying on your staff, who may not have an accurate understanding. 4. Is there a 15 minute grace period or not to appointments, you should let customers know clearly, instead of randomly playing favorites. If you want to make a rule, make it clear. 5. Please don’t threaten your patients, it’s just not right. Protect their privacy, not use it to threaten them. I will be switching dentists. This place unfortunately is a disaster.

I no longer dread going to the dentist. Dr Herzog is simply the best. I trust his work and advice completely and always feel comfortable from the moment I walk in the door. So glad I found him!!
