Always top notch service at this dental practice. Dr. Zazzaro is kind, professional and an excellent doctor. Additionally, he will accommodate any immediate needs on the spot, and does so quickly and with efficiency. I have been going to his practice for about 10 years now. I’d recommend him to anyone. He loves his dogs and they love him! That speaks volumes about his character as well.

Dr Zazzaro and staff are fantastic and welcoming which is ideal at a dentist’s office and uncommon in my experience. This is a state of the art dental center. Im impressed with their professionalism and knowledge. The atmosphere is very inviting and positive too!

I visited Dr. Zazzaro’s dental office for a routing cleaning, during this I was told my “old” fillings should be replaced. Dr. Zazzaro agreed that all five fillings should be taken out and replaced. Believing the dentist knew best I scheduled an appointment to have 3 fillings replaced. I came into the office for what I believed to be a simple routine procedure. . 3 of my previous fillings were replaced. The following two days after I was in agonizing pain. I called the office to inform them I felt something was wrong. I was told that the pain was normal and to call back Monday if it continued. I called back & was scheduled to come in the next day. My symptoms during this time were as follows; severe throbbing, sensitivity to any kind of temperature, headaches, neck pain, loss of sleep from pain, inability to chew on the left side of mouth, and a sharp shock like pain when any amount of pressure was put on the tooth. Before this procedure I had no sensitivity or pain in this tooth, ever. After informing both Dr. Zazzaro and a female dentist of my symptoms during my follow up I was told that my teeth were likely just “more sensitive” & in fact, women tend to have more sensitive teeth in general.
They shaved a portion of the filling to adjust my bite, believing this would solve the problem, inspected the tooth, blew some air on it and said that if the pain continued to come back. I voiced my concerns to the dentists, how I felt anxious that this was not normal for such a routine procedure. However, my experience was minimized and I even felt possibly this was within normal range. On my way out of the office I had asked the dentist if it were possible the tooth was cracked - she simply replied “well let’s hope not because if it is then its under the filling”. I felt too embarrassed to advocate for myself as a patient. For the next week the pain did not subside. I was now taking over-the-counter painkillers up to 3 times a day, everyday. I no longer trusted this office to go back a third time. I opted to visit another dentist for a second opinion. At the other dental office I was informed it was absolutely not normal what I was experiencing. In fact, it was debatable that the fillings should have been replaced at all. After about 10 minutes in the office the dentist informed me I had a large crack in my back molar where Dr. Zazzaro had replaced my filling. This crack was abnormal for someone within my age range and is usually typical on much older patients. I was also told the fillings that were replaced “were not bonded properly”. At no point during my initial cleaning at Dr.
Zazzaro’s office was I informed of any crack in this tooth. At no point during the procedure of replacing my fillings was I told there was a crack in my tooth. And at no point during my follow up visit for pain was I informed of a crack in my tooth, even after an examination. Although all the subsequent symptoms I was experiencing were indicative of a cracked tooth. For these reasons, I believe my tooth was damaged during what was supposed to be a simple dental procedure. No significant measures were taken to investigate the tooth for damage during my follow up, (i. e. no photographs taken, no sensitivity tests to check for damage or close inspection of the tooth). I now, am in a position where almost a month later - I am still in chronic, debilitating pain. I can not chew on the left side of my mouth and have been dealing with headaches, neck pain and extreme tooth sensitivity due to the inflammation of my nerve from the crack. Due to this, I need to have two additional dental procedures to fix what was never an issue to begin with. I now must remove the filling, replace it & have a crown put on the tooth to save it from further damage. Had I not listened to my body and gone to get a second opinion I could have ultimately needed a root canal or lost this tooth altogether. I have never had damage like this on any tooth before & still am in a position where I need over the counter pain medication to just function through the day.

Be sure you are completely and fully covered by your insurance for every single thing they do because, as I learned the hard way, they will bill you the ABSOLUTE MAX for whatever is not covered. In my case, a simple 30-minute cleaning without x-rays and without a doctor consultation was OVER $300. That's no way to endear yourself to the town.
