I hate going to the dentist. . . . who doesn't? But, Dr. Keating (J.

Keating) is the best dentist I have ever had! He is such a nice person, I enjoy going to see him just to chat with him. I just had to switch insurances and was forced to switch to the other Keating (P. Keating) and I am so sad to have to switch. But, I know that they are both great. If you are looking for a dentist office that will know you and your family by name and treat you VERY well this is the office for you.

Doctor might be nice but billing practice is totally unscrupulous - do not come here. My mother was a patient here and they basically made her do an annual dental cleaning that she had already done, telling her that she had enough insurance coverage for it. They also grossly underestimated her dental bill in order to have her agree to the procedures by telling her it would all be covered, and are now demanding an additional $300 out of pocket from my mom to cover the expenses that my mother did not need to get done and would have been covered had she just waited until the following year. I know what the legal situation is and that my mother is technically on the hook for the expenses because she agreed to have them done, but none of these were urgent procedures and it's deceptive to give a much lower estimate and then go back and say, "sorry, guess we got it wrong but you agreed to have the procedures done anyway.

" I know there's wiggle room in the estimates, but it's absolutely crazy that her original bill of $100+ has ballooned to over $400. if you don't have a solid understanding of the insurance system, beware as they seem to prey on the elderly if they don't have a full understanding of the insurance system. I called in to discuss the potential for lowering payments as it is unreasonable to demand that a 60+ year old lady with no income pay an additional $300+ on services that were quoted as around $150 out of pocket, and when I discussed her financial hardship and the situation, the clinic basically said, tough luck your mom agreed to the services, with zero willingness to negotiate so I guess they also enjoy tanking the elderly's credit, because my mother is unable to pay this bill. Edit: they don’t even mail a copy of the itemized bill - see attached for the bill they send.

I thought this was the back page when my mom gave this to me, but you can see it’s clearly written as Page 1 of the bill. Relying on the elderly to not know what they are paying for - just horrible.

I always recommend Keating Dental. I have had bad experiences with dentists in the past and I find it really hard to trust them. Dr Keating was recommended to me by a close friend of mine. I have had nothing but positive experiences there. Every time I've been to other offices they've recommended expensive, unnecessary procedures (I know they're unnecessary because I've gotten second and third opinions).

Dr Keating is the only dentist in the valley I trust. His office staff is incredible, too and they work really well with insurance. And since I only go twice a year, it's worth the drive.
