I forgot to write my review after having Osseous surgery in February. My experience from scheduling, examination to the day of my procedure was awesome. Everyone was professional. Dr. Silverstein & his assistant made me extremely comfortable during my procedure. Plus it was painless. I highly recommend this practice.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this periodontics office. They never informed me that my two procedures could not be done on the same day for insurance purposes. As a result, my insurance won't cover the costs, leaving me with a hefty bill. This lack of communication and transparency is completely unacceptable.

I expected a professional office to handle such important details, but their negligence has caused me significant financial stress. I would not recommend this office to anyone.

I was very dissapointed with the front desk, She was rude and incompetent. I was scheduled for surgery at 1 pm. An hour prior to my appointment time, She called me to postpone to 1:30pm. I came at 1:30pm, She asked me to pay in full, and then told me to come back next month to do surgery.

I left the place and on my way back, She called me back to do surgery again, I don't think She knew what She was doing. She had wasted lots of my time. The communication was not clear.

I would avoid it at all costs to go to Kennestone Periodontics. They are after your money with a business-oriented doctor. I had surgery here in October 2022, A few minutes of surgery cost around 3K. It was more expensive than other places, but I went for it because I thought this doctor was good! However, they did not know how to deal with insurance or they didn’t care to do this. My insurance refused to pay even 600 for this just because this practice didn’t provide any important details, They wrote one sentence for this claim! Of course, it got rejected. I did the research and with help from my general dentist’s office got them to resend the evidence and got approved after a long time. The other thing is Dr. Silverstein didn’t discuss or plan this surgery with my general dentist about how long the tissue or bone should be cut to prepare for crowns. So the result is not what I expected. The 2 front gum level is uneven let alone the other! I have seen Dr Silverstein a few times. It is always in a rush. After a short chat then he would leave you to another assistant.

This practice has 2 offices with just one doctor and many front desk and assistants. The most horrific thing was after the surgery my gum had some white discharge coming out. I noticed it after waking up from sleep every time and I did not know it was serious since I go to the dental office every 6 months they didn’t say anything. But last summer it got worse, my new hygienist told me this was an infection. I called this office and let them know, they told me to come in and said I should mention this earlier. I only had one follow-up exam with Dr Silverstein, he told me my gum was great even though I told him my concern back in 2022. In July 2024 I went in again, after arriving on time and waiting at the front desk for over an hour, he told me he didn’t know what caused this and said “It is not just this gum but all of it, my other gum was way better than I first saw him, he had never mentioned this until now. And I am pretty sure my gums are good because I have been to other offices and got a second opinion. Anyway, he gave me some antibiotics and told me to come back again. I finished and went back, better but still has pus. This time I got seen immediately but also got released quickly. In and out! He said he didn’t know what caused this and asked me to come back again he would refer me to a dermatologist next time.

So, these 2 times were short visits which I thought was like before the free surgery follow-ups. Nobody has mentioned they will file insurance nor charged me upfront. But 2 months later they sent me a 198 bill for these 2 visits. They did not file the insurance for my first visit and charged me for an X-ray which I have never had at their office. November, I called and told them, and they said they would call me back which they never did! Just filed the insurance and sent me another bill for 48. Later they sent me another changed bill for 113! And they filed the insurance for the x-ray which I EMAILED to them from my general dentist's office! My insurance representative and I have called them multiple times and sent an email on the 6th of December to try to explain this matter. They never replied but kept sending me bills. I called after Christmas and texted them back yesterday. I still haven’t heard anything but another email bill. At this point, I just want to say stop harassing me with the bill I am not responsible for. Be aware friends.
