My 6 year old had two cavities filled for the first time today. The staff was extremely patient and positive to him and helped him feel at ease. He was very nervous but they went the extra mile to keep his mind off of what was happening. They worked extremely quickly and efficient as well. I would highly recommend Dr. Karrell and his extremely kind and patient staff.

Their billing is a mess. When I went in for a filling I was told that I still owed $60 for a prior visit. I asked why I was just hearing about this now and was told "We didn't send out bills during that period. " Then I was told that my current filling procedure was not covered by insurance, but when I called Delta Dental they told me that it is covered. So of course, I went back to the practice with this information and it was determined that I was owed a $121 refund for the covered amount.

They asked me whether I wanted a check or a credit; I asked for a check. Two weeks later I had not received it, so I called the office twice and was sent to the answering machine both times and left a call-back request. No call-back. I called the next day and was told (1) there was no record of my phone calls, (2) my account shows a zero balance with no refund indicated, and (3) only the practice manager could help me further and that they were out for the day. I asked to speak to Dr.

Krupp and was told that he couldn't help me and I don't understand how a dental practice works. I'm sure they don't work like this! I intend to get my $121 and then I'll be on my way to another practice.

Returned here after not seeing a dentist in 10 years. The practice has changed hands twice, but I was still seen by the same hygienist I had seen when I was younger and I was happy to see her again. I had some fairly obvious problems and knew going in that I would need work done. I didn't feel judged by either the hygienist nor Dr Krupp for having gone so long without seeing a dentist or the state my teeth were in. We simply acknowledged what the problems were and separated the work into several appointments to take care of it. I was paying out of pocket, so I asked if it was possible to get an estimate of how much it would cost. The office provided me a printout that listed each tooth that needed work, the work being done on that tooth, and the cost to have that work done on that tooth. I've been to the first of those appointments to have my problems corrected and the price I was given was the price I paid with no surprises. I had experienced issues in the past with the numbing agent not completely working and brought this up with Dr Krupp before work began. He addressed my concerns and explained that if I felt any pain, I could just raise my hand and he would stop and adjust it.

Having a needle inserted into my gums was more uncomfortable than painful, but when he was working on my teeth it was completely painless. I didn't have to stop him to ask for an adjustment. Dr Krupp's assistant frequently asked both before and during the procedure whether I was comfortable. They used a dental dam for the procedure and I explained that one side of it was pinching my gums. She was able to adjust it so that it no longer hurt but still maintained its place. I didn't experience any discomfort during the procedure itself, but she did ask fairly often and I feel like I would have been given the opportunity to adjust myself if needed, even if I didn't speak up. The procedure itself went very quickly. Three teeth were scheduled to be worked on and when he finished drilling I thought maybe he had only finished the first one. I was hunkering down for it to take a while longer but the drilling was completely done and they moved on to the next part. Dr Krupp and his assistant also seemed to be in sync for the whole procedure.

It didn't seem like he had to ask for anything as she was already prepared for the next step. Dr Krupp was friendly and approachable both times I met him. I didn't feel rushed and feel like he would have taken the time to answer any questions I had or concerns I wanted addressed. I can only speak for the work I personally had done but, as a layman, I felt like it was performed skillfully. I haven't really met the other staff, but they seemed friendly toward each other when I saw them interacting. In some places, the staff only smiles because that's what they're expected to do in order to earn their paycheck. At Dr Krupp's office the work environment has a good feeling to it and it feels like the staff genuinely want to take care of you and make sure that your needs are addressed.

I've been ok with the practice until this last couple of weeks, when I've called THREE times just to reschedule an appointment - this would be a two minute service of the staff's part, but I guess they cannot be bothered. When I call them again, it'll be to cancel. For good. I'm very glad I'm not trying to reach them with a dental emergency. Awful client service.
