One word aptly describes the work done by Dr Pete…. Flawless! I don’t often do reviews, but for him I would gladly make an exception. I recently had a couple of aging molars pulled, a bone graft inserted the jaw, and full anesthesia. One minute I’m shooting the breeze with Becky, a great dental assistant, and an astonishing expert on all things Elvis. The next minute I’m waking up from what I was told was a reasonably difficult procedure. Never felt any pain, not during, not immediately after, and not in the days after the procedure. No infection, not even much swelling.
I’ve since been back to remove stitches. Each time Dr Pete exhibited genuine concern for my well being and spent as much as required to answer all my questions. Would I send a member of my family to Dr Pete? In a heartbeat. No, we are not related. No, I received no inducement to write this review. A good and trustworthy guy.

I had a fairly severe mouth injury from a puck while playing hockey about 10 years ago. I had been to several different dental offices for treatment over the years without success. The problems were admittedly complicated and unresolved… until I found this office. Dr. Pete quickly identified the source of the issues and created a treatment plan that finally resolved the source of the issue. My only regret is that I wasn’t referred to him years earlier.
The follow up was great after each procedure. They were very mindful to ensure I wasn’t in pain during and after visits. And lastly, the office is super pleasant, organized and communicative. I’m very grateful I was referred to Dr. Pete and his team.

Nice dentist, but questionable charges and fees. I went to Dr. Pete a few months ago to obtain a predetermination for an implant. Dr. Pete is in my insurance network whereas the other dentist that I was considering is Out-of-Network.
To my surprise, Dr. Pete's fees were substantially higher than the Out-of-Network dentist for the identical procedures (services). Why? You can thank the ADA and the NC legislature for passing SB 58-50-290 in 2019 that permits In-Network dentist to charge any amount of $$$ for non-covered services or procedures without an insurance contract cap. So in my case Dr. Pete's fee for the non-covered services related to my implant were significantly higher >$$$ than my Out-of-Network dentist who performed the procedure.
Just because a dentist is In-Network doesn't necessarily mean their fees are less than an Out-of-Network dentist. My advice, do your homework and complete a predetermination of benefits with any perspective dentist before committing to a major dental procedure or you may be very unpleasantly surprised, at least financially. YMMV
