I called for an appointment based on a referral from my general dentist. Dr. Taylor's staff contacted me on a Monday after I left a message on Friday about needing an appointment. The staff answered my questions and took my insurance information, and set me up with an appointment for the next day,. Despite getting me in quickly, after I arrived, things went downhill, in my opinion. After only a few minutes of questions and examination, and presumably without any of my prior dental records or history available, Dr. Taylor recommended a significantly involved and expensive procedure.

I felt pressured by him and his staff to have the procedure done that same day, immediately after a brief initial consultation, and less than 10 minutes after arriving at his office and meeting him for the first time. I stated that I was uncomfortable with immediately proceeding with the recommendation. I asked questions about the examination results and tried to obtain more information about the procedure and the basis for his conclusion. I considered his responses to my questions dismissive, unprofessional, condescending, and rude. On my way out after this interaction, instead of billing the consultation to my insurance, the receptionist insisted that I pay them directly. It was the first time I have ever had a medical provider insist that I directly pay them after performing services that are covered by my insurance. I confirmed that it was 100% covered after I had to file a claim with my insurance company on my own behalf.

Over the next few days, I went to a different Endodontist who answered all of my questions, was extremely polite and professional, and recommended multiple avenues for treatment. His office submitted everything to my insurance on my behalf in order to obtain their payment. Upon the recommendation of the second Endodontist, I decided to have a procedure done that was a fraction of the cost, and equally (if not more) effective, than what Dr. Taylor insisted I should have immediately. Overall, other than getting in quickly, and dealing with his very polite dental assistant, I was very disappointed with my entire visit to Dr. Taylor.

I’m new to Springfield so I didn’t have any recommendation on where to go for a root canal. I was more than a little hesitant for such a serious procedure, but I couldn’t have chosen better than Dr. Taylor. He gave me an appointment same week, was super professional. His office is 100% prepared with Covid measures (take temperature, masks, no waiting room).

I was very worried about the oncoming pain of the procedure but I am not kidding when I tell you I DIDN’T FEEL A THING. He’s an expert at administering local anesthetic. I have felt more at normal fillings than this! I am beyond happy with his service and recommend him to everybody. 5 stars!!

Excellent, caring, clean, professional and Covid- conscious office. I can't say enough about how happy I am that Dr. Taylor did my root canal. He performed it on the same day I called, and ended the excruciating pain I'd been in. His staff were very caring and kind, as is Dr.

Taylor. I don't know if most people realize how much skill an excellent endodontist must posses to perform this procedure perfectly. Dr. Taylor called me the next day to check on my progress. He is just the best in my opinion and it is certainly shared: I would give him more stars if I could!! AND Carole submits the insurance paperwork for you! Thanks to all!

I was referred to Dr. Taylor by my regular dentist for a root canal. His office got me in within a week (which was fine because I was not having any pain). At the consultation, the doctor explained the procedure along with possible complications and I was informed of the charges.

Everyone at the office was friendly, efficient, and professional. The procedure itself was quick (around an hour total) and almost completely pain-free (my jaw got a little sore from being wide open for an hour, but that's really the only discomfort I felt at all). I was very satisfied with my experience.
