I've been going to Laurelwood Dental Care since 2012. They are unfailingly welcoming and pleasant, very flexible about appointment times, very kind and, so far as I can tell, their charges seem very reasonable. Last fall, I had a temporary crown that cracked and Dr.

Xu went above and beyond, driving back from a continuing education conference in Toronto to do the repair that evening - and then heading back to Toronto. I highly recommend their services.

Dr. Xu was very patient with my mother and answered all her questions in great details. The dental procedure was done successfully and the rate was reasonable. My only advise for improvement is for his dental assistants - some seem relatively new on the job and not very efficient.

Money-Grabber Dentist Henry Xu is just a machine, jumping from one patient to another without taking time to analyze or explain the problem. Comes in, does his work (which is lousy), jumps off to the next patient. And in this rush, when he does the work, he makes sure to do it so bad that the patient will have to come back again to get it fixed and he gets to charge you extra for that, even though it's his fault and he should be fixing it for free. I get that in most cases, it's not the patient who is paying but the insurance company.

But at the end of the day, the patient or their employer is paying a premium to the insurance company and premium is gonna go up because of dentists like him who overcharge and then charge again on top of it to fix their own mistakes! He did 2 fillings and went overboard both times making sure that we will have to go back to him to get them fixed and charged $600 approx. for each visit! Had to go to another dentist who charged half of what this guy charged to fix his mess which caused us lot of pain for more than a week. My advice, stay clear of money grabbers like him. Oh, and they will make sure to SQUEEZE you in the schedule no matter how packed they are.

After all, they don't wanna let the golden goose like you to go to someone else. UPDATE: I didn't visit you. Someone I know, did.

I had an outstanding experience here at Laurelwood Dental Care. Dr. Xu was able to squeeze in a new patient check-in for me and look at a blocked saliva gland in my bottom lip the same afternoon as setting up an appointment. I was in and out within an hour and had the blocked gland removed and stitched up when I was only expecting to have it checked out that day. 5/5 stars!
