I had a tooth colored filling (a composite) and a crown done on adjacent teeth. The EFDA did the filling and Dr. Warn cemented the crown. He attempted to adjust the crown, so my bite would be even on both sides. After I left and the local anesthetic had wore off, I essentially had one point of contact and couldn't move my jaw at all to the left side for chewing. It was causing me to have jaw joint pain and other problems and I was swallowing my food unchewed. Also, he didn't check the tooth colored filling because there was excess, jagged material in between the teeth that made it impossible to floss! I called the office the next day for an emergency appointment, but was only able to leave a detailed, urgent message. They never returned my call! In over 35 years of dental practice, I ALWAYS saw emergency patients ASAP because I cared about them and my reputation! About 10 days later, my insurance company happened to call me regarding a different matter and asked me how my dentist was treating me. I told the truth -- that he didn't care at all and refused to see me, in this emergency situation, to correct his errors in restorative treatment. When I went in approximately 3 weeks later, for my previously scheduled appointment for another procedure, I was treated very coldly and badly by the older woman at the front desk.

I knew the insurance company must have contacted them regarding my care. Then, in the operatory, Dr. Warn made a feeble, untrue excuse and essentially blamed me for not calling in numerous times to be seen immediately. Ridiculous! Finally, he decided to adjust the occlusion on the ceramic crown. He obviously never learned a basic concept in dental school at OSU. ***You must adjust the occlusion when the patient is upright in the chair and in a feeding position!!!!*** He adjusts it when the patient is lying flat in the chair! Also, he uses a cheap, thick piece of articulating paper that gives false marks, instead of using the more expensive and highly accurate double-sided thin paper (Accu-film). Something else he never learned in school! He never adjusted the composite filling because of his schedule and he chose to leave me with an unhealthy food trap. Another dentist had to correct his improper work. The problem with his practice is that he is under a tremendous amount of pressure to produce. That's why he didn't want to bring me in for an emergency appointment.

He caused my problems and there was no money in it for him to see me! Therefore, this would have been wasted, unproductive chair time for him! He has too many part-time employees, who receive no benefits and therefore don't care much about their jobs, as well as the front desk people, plus a young family to support. The office isn't run efficiently. A primary cause of this is the nasty, old harridan who manages this office from the front desk. I observed how she gives the patients evil looks and with the varying tone and cadence of her voice, conveys her ill feelings towards them. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! Dr. Warn is fearful of her and her domineering behavior and is unable to assert himself to deal with this unhealthy dynamic. He needs to take control of the operation of the office and realize he has to put the patients' well-being over his tremendous monetary concerns. After all, it is a service related business.

I love Legacy Dentistry. Everyone is caring and always going above and beyond for the sake of their clients and each other. I always have a great experience especially after not trusting dentists in the past.
