I had two fillings done today by Dr Tab & Elsa. They greeted me with warm smiles, comfortable chair & soft neck pillow. Dr Tab explained everything (she is very skillful & knowledgeable). She was very careful in removing the cavities and placing the composite fillings. I have to say, I am very proud to recommend them to you. You will be in very capable hands.

When I booked the appointment I was told my insurance is accepted at this location. After few weeks later I was informed that my Primary insurance is not in their network and I was responsible for charges. It came to me as a surprise. Please make sure to check with your insurance rather than relying on their word about acceptance of the insurance. I have canceled my upcoming appointments now.

I have a deep fear of going to the dentist. During the extraction process the doctor and her assistant were very reassuring which helped ease my fears. The after care was excellent. I highly recommend their services.

Light Dental Studios was not a good experience for me. I needed a cleaning. An appointment was set and confirmed. The day before the appointment they canceled because they didn’t have anyone to do the job. When they called to cancel my appointment, I ignored a call from “LDS Burien. ” I wondered why the Church of Latter-Day Saints was calling. The person left a convoluted message that required me to call back. Oddly, on the day of the rescheduled appointment it was the dentist who cleaned my teeth. He allowed another technician to polish my teeth. She did a poor job as I was left with rough teeth and I could feel the spots where the dentist had missed. The dentist, during my examination, determined that a front tooth needs to be extracted and I need an implant. He referred me to an oral surgeon after cleaning my teeth.

The oral surgeon does the extraction and implant but doesn’t do the crown or the temporary mouthpiece that has an artificial tooth (it seems to be a device that resembles a tooth while my mouth heals). He referred me back to Light Dental Studios, stating that they should be able to easily take care of my needs. Surgery is set for June 16, 2025. The receptionist at Light Dental Studios is less-than professional. She mumbles and keeps her microphone far from her mouth. It is hard for me to hear her even after asking her to speak up. I use noise canceling headphones yet she is difficult to understand. Unfortunately for me, the dentist who referred me for oral surgery only does what I need on a case-by-case basis, according to the receptionist. The soonest the receptionist could get me in is June 13, 2025. There isn’t enough time for the to create what I need. After complaining and hanging up they called me back in hopes of saving our relationship. They offered sooner appointment but they want me to drive to Bellevue.

No thank you. The reason they are shorthanded is because another dentist is going on maternity leave until December. I didn’t need to know why they were losing a dentist for seven months. It sounds like they have a management problem in their 21 Washington offices. As it turned out, after my second confrontational phone call, the dentist who only provides what I need on a case-by-case basis is actually available next week! Sadly, because of the negative experience from the staff at Light Dental Studios I do not trust them to complete the rest of implant/crowning process. I intend to find a dentist that is capable of taking care of my dental needs without any problems from their office staff. Other Google reviews highlight that their office management is their greatest point of friction. Instead of solving my problems they increased them. I wish they could have made me smile.
