Lindquist Dental Clinic For Children (LDCC) is a well-established private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with a rich history dating back to 1936. Originally named after Carl E. Lindquist, a Tacoma banker and philanthropist, the clinic has evolved significantly over the decades. Its core mission is "To provide accessible, compassionate, and effective dental care to children in need" throughout the Puget Sound region. LDCC is committed to ensuring that no child is turned away due to their family's inability to pay, accepting WA Apple Health (Medicaid/Provider One), most private insurances, and offering a sliding fee scale based on income and family size. Headquartered at its 15-operatory clinic in Parkland, Tacoma, WA, LDCC also maintains community and school-based dental outreach programs. While they previously had multiple clinic locations, including Bremerton and Gig Harbor, they have refocused on their primary Parkland location due to economic shifts, dental workforce shortages, and the impact of the pandemic. LDCC provides a wide array of dental services specifically tailored for children and youth, including dental exams, cleanings, extractions, fluoride treatments, fillings, general anesthesia for ages 3-8, oral surgery for wisdom teeth, emergency care, and X-rays. Beyond clinical services, the organization is deeply involved in community partnerships and educational events to promote oral health awareness and access to care.
