I just paid $3,500 out of pocket to have a second set of braces installed by Central Iowa Orthodontics. Loucks & Buren Orthodontics did not fix my teeth as promised. As a result, my oral surgeons told me I had to get another set of braces in order to receive an implant for this tooth I am missing. The whole point of the first set of braces was to create a gap wide enough to get an implant, meaning the braces completely failed me. Now I cannot afford the implant once these braces come off which is heartbreaking… I know it is inconvenient, but make the drive to Des Moines/Iowa City/Etc. for your braces. Do not be like me and just go with the place in town because it is easier.

See for yourself. Would you want my teeth? Edit: Carney, I wore my retainer DAILY until it fell to pieces, then I got another one and wore that daily until it also crumpled. Not weekly. Daily. Then I got a second set of braces. I have had a tooth gap since I got the first set removed. Let’s not even talk about the severe posterior open bite that you left me with for the rest of my life (see newly added photo for proof).

My molars do not touch at all. Did not wearing my retainer cause that too? Do you know how hard it is to chew when only your front teeth touch when biting down? I am glad you are retired, so you cannot do something like this to anyone else ever again. You need to own up to your mistakes. I am disappointed all over again reading how little you respect my feedback. Clearly you are not taking my words seriously. Shame on you.
