We went to Lynchburg Family Dentistry yesterday as an emergency visit for my 6 year old son who was experiencing a lot of sensitivity and pain. They managed to squeeze us in at the end of the day to try and help my son. Dr Draper and Holly were SO patient and good with my son who was worked up from all the pain and anxiety of seeing a new dentist. I highly recommend them!

I never have to wait more than 5 minutes in the waiting room. Dr Draper is so professional and kind. All the staff are friendly and my teeth have never been cleaner! I usually don't like going to the dentist, but my kids and I really like this office!

This dentist's office needs at least 7 stars. Without a doubt, the best dental experience in my life. I have a HUGE phobia of dentists and I am that jerk that only goes to the dentist when I get a toothache. So, sure enough, I cracked a molar last week and endured two days of increasing, excruciating pain (no sleep, no food, no concentration) before I called another dentist in town (where I was a prior patient) and got blown off because I had not been seen recently enough for them to care about me any longer. (see the related not-so-nice review for this outfit I will leave). Having made my own problems for myself, I called Lynchburg Family Dentistry, after a recommendation from a co-worker, when the pain became three notches past merely unbearable. They offered me an appointment in an HOUR despite the fact that they were crazy busy. The lady on the phone (as everyone there) was professional, patient and polite. She texted me a link to their check-in app, which saved me 15 minutes of pain and time and which also gave me something to do to take my mind off of the throbbing tooth. I got to their office on Timberlake Road and the lobby was full.

Another polite, professional lady at the desk addressed me and told me that they would be with me shortly. She wasn't lying. They took my photo for the chart and I sat in the chair for about three minutes or less, before I was escorted to an exam room. One of Dr. Draper's assistants (yet another polite, patient and professional lady, whose name I forget, but who I will love platonically in my heart for the rest of my life) came in, took my blood pressure and an X-Ray. Less than THREE minutes later, Dr. Draper came in. He was dealing with a crowd of people, but he took the time to show me the X-Ray, explain my options and to give me his assessment and opinion. I elected to have the tooth removed. The aforementioned polite, professional and patient assistant came in and prepped me, and just a few minutes later, Dr.

Draper was back to wrestle with my tooth, which was complicated and at risk of breaking. He took extra time to remove it, without breaking it, when he was extremely busy. The man is a consummate professional. The lovely, nice assistant cleaned up the wound, gave me discharge instructions and a care kit, and followed me to the payment window, where I was checked out for an EXTREMELY REASONABLE fee in a few minutes. Total time from phone call to return to my office: 1 hour 25 minutes. Total time at Lynchburg Family Dentistry: 50 minutes. This is an incredibly run operation, staffed by people who either care deeply about doing right by their patients or who deserve the Academy Award for faking it. I am not kidding when I say that if I ever move from Lynchburg, I will fly back here if I need dental treatment, as long as this place is open.
