Dr. Messerly is not only highly skilled but also incredibly compassionate and patient—he takes the time to explain everything in detail and ensures all your questions are answered. Vickie, the office manager, keeps everything running smoothly and efficiently, making every visit seamless.

Alice, the hygienist, is amazing at what she does—she’s always so thorough and makes sure you leave with a spotless, healthy smile. And Erhonda is wonderful at making any procedure feel quick and painless. The entire office is welcoming, professional, and genuinely cares about their patients. I went in to Maddison Ave Dental as a new patient for an exam and a cleaning recently. I am used to getting cleanings every 6 months but moved here from another state recently and hadn’t found a dentist yet. So it had been a year, but I brush and floss regularly. I got to my appt and had X-rays done and an exam, testing for bone loss/gum disease, etc. 2-2. 5 hours later I was done and NO cleaning. I was told I needed a deep cleaning and all of my silver fillings removed and replaced with crowns. Ummm, no thank you.

I asked for a cleaning. And I know my teeth are in good shape. I phoned my regular dentist back home who’s seen me for several years now and knows my teeth. He said there’s no way I need a deep cleaning and to go somewhere else. The dental plan Maddison Ave wrote up for me was a ploy to get money for things I did not need. I’ve since gone to another dentist, closer to me and with a much higher review rating. They were wonderful. I found that my teeth are, in fact, in great shape, I do NOT need a deep cleaning, and they said there’s no need to change out silver fillings with crowns.

AND Maddison Ave told me that since they reported that I need a deep cleaning, I won’t be able to get anyone to do a regular cleaning on me now. The new dentist not only cleaned my teeth (regular cleaning), but rated my teeth with 1s, 2s and 3s. Nothing higher to indicate a need for a deep cleaning (5s and 6s). I had a tiny cavity starting near an old, silver filling and they replaced the whole thing with a composite filling. Excellent. I’m so happy I found the other place. Everything that was told to me at Maddison was untrue.

Hi my name is Christina Johnson and I see Dr Messer at Madison Avenue Dental. . it has taken me almost 37 years to find a dentist that I feel comfortable enough to get all the work I need done and it wasn't until finding this facility and this dentist for me to be able to get what I need done. He is very soft spoken and really focuses on my needs through the entire time.
