D for Disappointing We were really looking forward to finding a good, competent, efficient dentist in our area and we thought we'd found it. Today, my husband said "I'm not going there tomorrow and I'm not going there every again. " We've had enough. On the positive side the hygienist (Candra) was very good - very caring, efficient and competent. The dentist is also kind and provides okay care. Our primary turn-off is his administrative staff.

While I understand that their job is to keep track of patients and their accounts, all they really seem to care about is getting paid. On a visit in which a crown needed replacement, I had to call and call and call to find out whether the staff had found out about coverage. Each time I was put off. The day before the actual appointment to replace the crown, when I called to inquire (AGAIN) about coverage, the response I got was "Well did you ask for a pre-estimate?" When I explained that I had no idea that was my responsibility (which, when I later told the dentist, he said it was NOT my responsibility), I was given the "Oh yes - you were supposed to ask us to get the pre-estimate. " And went on to say "But if they DON'T approve it, it's only going to be $400+ out of pocket for you. " Only $400? Oh is that all? I should have known at that point to go elsewhere.

My husband has also experienced the "brush off" and uncaring attitude from the office staff with regard to his care. Enough is enough. It's on us now, to take what we know and find a dental office who can not only provide competent care, but who actually care about their patients (both health- and benefits-wise).

Don't pay attention to the negative posts. I've been seeing this new dentist here for a couple months now and he is absolutely fantastic. The girls at the desk, and dental assistants are fantastic as well.... 5 stars... if you feel any pain, he will stop, and make sure you are comfortable !

HIHA NEMO

Dr. Amish Desai is very friendly and always remembers things about me. His staff is friendly and very skilled. All together it's always a great experience and I always going for my cleaning since last 25 years . I highly recommend Main Street Dental!
