Dr. Pong and his entire staff at the Maple Family Dentistry are just an awesome group of people. They make you feel so comfortable during the visits – a very warm hearted and family-oriented dentistry. I don’t mind driving from Lynnwood to Federal Way to see Dr. Pong. I would recommend Maple Family to anyone looking for excellent dental care.

No need to be afraid of dentists anymore with Dr. Pong and his wonderful team! 💜 🦷 🪥 ————————— Dr. Pong and his team are AMAZING - punctual, hospitable, courteous, lighthearted, gentle, and empathetic. I’ve been seeing him and his team for 2 years. Multiple hygienists have expressed much they love their career paths and how much they love working with Dr. Pong.

All of that adds to a wonderfully calm atmosphere - and have hugely contributed to me not being afraid of dentists anymore. They’re great at listening to my concerns, thoroughly talked me through what they’re doing and why, and educated me about better oral hygiene practices for my particular teeth quirks. Since they have taught me so much, my gums don’t bleed as much (WIP), I found a mouthwash that doesn’t make my mouth swell and blister anymore, I found toothpaste that targets sensitive teeth that works for me, and my cavities have been filled (to the point we’ve prevented borderline root canals!) For me growing up, dental care was a luxury which resulted in some traumatic visits to the free teaching clinics. As an adult, I put off dental care for a LONG time - the thought would cause my body to involuntarily shake and streaming tears. I was afraid of needles and tools against my teeth. I didn’t brush much and bought whatever was cheapest (mint, spicy mint, ‘Merica mint - lol).

Flossing - not a thing unless popcorn was involved. They don’t shame you about the condition of your teeth - if you are struggling with something and don’t know how to fix it - just ask! They’re more than happy to make suggestions. Here, you are a person. In the past, I’ve had dentists try to sell me on expensive toothbrushes, flossers, and oral hygiene gels that insurance doesn’t cover and didn't consider my specific needs. Here - it’s simple dental care, they are transparent about pricing, and you are treated like a human being. Give it one more chance - your teeth and gums are worth it!

Absolutely loved my experience here. I am really scared of needles but I didn’t feel a thing when getting numbed here. It was a very very pleasant experience, from the assistant Liliya to the hygienist to the doctor! Absolutely remarkable team and office.

If you’re like me and scared of dentist’s because of past experiences then don’t hesitate to come here. You will love it and you’ll feel very welcomed and well taken care of!
