Great service! The hygienist was accommodating and professional. I shared I had sensitive gums and the hygienist was accommodating and gentle during my cleaning. Overall, I had a pleasant experience.

Dr. Shun is so amazing! I came in for a broken filling and not only did he fix the problem, he also worked on my other dental issues on the same day. Highly recommended dentist.

I came in for a broken filling and was seen by Dr. Shun. I was very pleased by how meticulously he fixed my tooth. He explained everything very well, so I was informed, confident and was put at ease about the whole treatment.
He took his time to adjust my bite after the filling. The freezing was done so well that I experienced no pain during the whole process. I will definitely go back to this doctor for further work on my teeth.

I don’t take writing negative reviews lightly, especially when it comes to healthcare professionals. However, I feel a responsibility to share my experience so others can make informed decisions and hopefully avoid the stress and disappointment my partner and I went through. Dental visits can already be anxiety-inducing for many people, and the last thing anyone needs is to feel unsafe or neglected during their care. Below is a account of what happened during our appointments. I originally chose this place because I hoped they could handle dental anesthesia for future appointments, as dental visits make me uncomfortable. For this initial cleaning and checkup, I didn’t need anesthesia, but wanted the option for the future. The waiting room and reception area were clean, which initially put me at ease. However, the area where you actually get your teeth cleaned felt unsanitary and raised many concerns. X-Ray Experience The guard placed in my mouth for x-rays wasn’t covered properly. The metal rod attached to the bite piece touched the inside of my mouth, and while tools are supposed to be sanitized, I was concerned about the crevice between the plastic and metal rod. The tool itself looked like a chewed-up dog toy, which was unsettling. Looking back, I should have left after seeing the x-ray tool. That was a huge red flag, but I thought maybe I was just being too concerned about cleanliness.
Cleanliness Issues The metal tools used to detail teeth had brown discoloration on the metal handles. There was debris in the sink during my appointment, which I hadn’t used yet. The lead apron for x-rays was torn. The headrest on the dental chair didn’t have a cover and didn’t look wiped down. There was limescale buildup in the faucet spout and brown discoloration on the surface as well, which is concerning since stainless steel shouldn’t show these signs if properly maintained. Service and Results I paid $73. 72 with tax after insurance coverd 80%. Appointment was scheduled with x-rays, cleaning/polish, and a checkup. My appointment was the last of the day and it felt rushed. If I had known they wouldn’t do a good job because of the timing, I never would have scheduled at that time. After the cleaning, it didn’t feel like much was done. When I got home, I noticed areas that were missed. I didn’t receive fluoride treatment, which I thought was standard, though maybe it’s a separate service.
There was no flossing done during the cleaning, which I expected as part of a routine dental visit. Partner’s Experience (Preface it’s standard practice after braces to have a thin wire installed behind the front teeth, held in place with dental cement, to keep teeth from shifting back. ) During the appointment, the hygienist damaged the cement holding in my partner’s wire. When my partner brought this up, the hygienist denied responsibility and said it was just plaque. Now, a day later, it’s still sharp, and it feels like they just didn’t want to go through the process of fixing it. My partner didn’t even receive polishing during his cleaning, which is a basic part of a dental cleaning and should not have been skipped. Environment The plus side is they have a TV on the ceiling to watch during treatment. The lights flicker nonstop. There was a general feeling of uncleanliness throughout the dental procedure room. Overall This experience left both of us feeling unclean, stressed, and without any positive results.
