The idea of going to the dentist has never been one of those top ten experiences that I would typically look forward to - however, going to McLean Family Dental is always so enjoyable - really! It begins with Lori's warm welcome and efficiency at the front desk. Then there's Lora's incredible proficient and meticulous work as hygienist (someone who I have had total trust in for a couple of decades now). And then meeting, for the first time, Dr.

Ellen who I was very impressed with for her extremely thorough exam and pleasant manner. It's just a terrific team that gives a visit to the dentist a whole new perspective. McLean Family Dental rocks!

Dr. McLean is awesome! I went in for my first root canal with quite a bit of anxiety and I had nothing to worry about! Dr. McLean was always making sure I was feeling okay and was very thorough about explaining what he was doing and how everything was going, very reassuring to say the least! I will be going back for EVERY procedure going forward! Best dentist in Delano by far!

I had a molar crack last week and needed a crown. Dr. McLean got me into the clinic, same day, so he could shave cracked sharp edges which were cutting my tongue. I then scheduled the appointment for the crown which was completed this afternoon. Lori suggested the use of audible distractions for calming through dental work.

So, I brought a meditation which was grounding and sounded like a cathedral of music (and will definitely use again!). Lori's personality is upbeat and engaging. Dr. McLean was efficient, competent, caring about comfort and letting me know what he was doing. It was my first experience with getting a CEREC (same day crown).

Overall, it was an awesome experience to be calm and in good hands. Update Nov 2024: I left this dental practice because: 1) of pressure for routine x-rays on healthy teeth though I agreed to x-rays if there were problem teeth. There was push to leave the practice if not compliant even if I signed and waived liability and took personal responsibility. I ask why the dental profession pushes x-rays (which increase risk of cancer) while both the medical and chiropractic professions x-ray when there is a problem; 2) of questioning nanotechnology in dental anesthetics without patient informed consent; 3) refusal (silent treatment) to refund for an x-ray which was not useful (too light) to rule out gum infection and had to pay for second x-ray from another dentist.

I had never been to McLean Family Dental before today. The first thing I noticed was the warm reception the front office people gave me. They wanted to know how I was doing today. Next, was my dental hygienist Andrea. She was great!!! I know they have to pick your gums and scrape your teeth, but she was very gentle and always asked how I was doing through out the process. Finally the dental exam by Dr. Ellen .

I can now understand how they can see the smallest things wrong with your teeth and gums. The tools she used is like a microscope with a very bright led light. And once again, she like the rest of the team, ask me how I was doing. So, this is where I will be going to, not only for my dental work, but to feel good for the rest of the day because they all cared enough to ask how are you doing? Thank you for caring!!!
