I've had multiple appointments so far, and still have multiple to still schedule. So far, this office has completely changed my view of dentists. I'm excited to go now and I'm looking forward to my next appointment.

What an absolutely amazing office! Dr. Meals along with the staff, are easy to talk to and the best dentist I have been to. Everyone there is professional and kind. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Meals to anyone! Thank you to Dr Meals and staff for all your patience, kindness and professionalism!

I made an appointment as a new pt for a teeth cleaning. Made no problem. Never once was I told the were was an office protocol. Go in today, get several rounds of xrays and pictures of my teeth. I asked everytime if this was covered by my insurance. The assistant was very nice and Dr. Meals was vey nice. Told me I had some cavities, etc etc. Then I am told to schedule for my teeth cleaning! So no cleaning.

Because the first appointment is solely for assessment. (Which even then not a problem except I waited several months for this appointment. ) Next cleaning isn't available for 8 months. Then when checking out told I owe $117 for an optional xray I was never advised was optional. Even after asking… multiple times. The receptionist was not nice and asked how I was going to pay for it. She kept saying it was "office policy" Go somewhere else. I really wanted to like this place.

I wish I could leave 0 stars. I moved to the area recently and we needed a new dentist, this was one of the first places I called and they about a one month wait. Which for a dentist didn’t seem so bad. Now, I’m 29 years old, my husband is 35 years old. He works full time for the government and has to travel to DC Mon-Fri. So, he took off so that we could both go on the same day because someone has to stay with our 16 month old, as we sadly don’t have any family nearby and have never left him with a sitter. I came into my 7:45 am appointment willing and ready for a cleaning.

However, all I received were some X-rays and a plethora of photos of my teeth. No cleaning. And my husband can only take off Fridays so the NEXT opening they have for a Friday would be in NOVEMBER. Now, when I called NO ONE mentioned that this was the case. As previously mentioned, in all my years of going to the dentist, and my husbands, have either of us heard of this. I cancelled my husband’s appointment, and they thankfully did not charge us for the cancellation. However, when I left they told me everything should be covered by insurance as it was a regular exam, well they lied and are now attempting to charge us $102!!! For X-rays and photos!!!! They NEVER even did a cleaning! They wasted my time, my husband’s time, who had to take off of work for this.

And would have continued to waste our time and money. I will be calling during business hours and hope we can amend this but as of right now, I highly recommend NOT going here, as they will scam and waste your time. We got an appointment at shepherdstown dentist, for both my husband and I (that he has to take off for work AGAIN) in April where they will be doing a cleaning. I highly recommend calling them, before wasting your time here.
