I’ve been a patient of Dr Maz’s for close to 20 years. He is a top-flight dental professional in every way imaginable. Moreover, he is friendly and personable. Every visit seems more like catching up with old friends than a dental appointment.

His staff of hygienists and office help are highly qualified professionals and just as cheerful and welcoming as he. I always recommend Dr Maz when someone is looking for a dentist.

I had a very disappointing and frustrating experience at Dr. Mazukelli's office. Upon scheduling my appointment, the receptionist requested my insurance information, which gave me the impression they would verify if I was in-network. However, they did not inform me that I was out-of-network. If the office does not handle insurance verification, they should advise patients to contact their insurance company directly.

A baseline standard for patient care services. Additionally, I was informed I needed special X-rays, which are apparently required every 5 years and came with a significant cost. I wasn’t told these would not be covered by my insurance, and I was left with a $500 bill. The cleaning itself was rushed and not thorough—by far the shortest cleaning I’ve ever experienced, despite the fact that it had been over a year since my last cleaning. When I inquired about Invisalign, the doctor seemed dismissive and unhelpful, acting as though my questions about costs and insurance coverage were an inconvenience.

It’s clear this practice does not prioritize working with insurance, but unfortunately, that is an essential aspect of running a patient-focused dental office. Overall, I felt misled and undervalued as a patient. I would not recommend this office and urge anyone considering a visit to verify insurance details independently to avoid unexpected expenses. But the services were poor so I highly recommend you go elsewhere.
