The dental care itself was great. My experience with the front office was not. Twice now I received an estimate for work that was wildly inaccurate. This last time I was told it would be $103. I asked both the hygienist and the receptionist if this had been run through my insurance and was told that it had. My total after my appointment was $294.

When I questioned it I was told that the estimate was a generic one. I explained that I had been assured that the estimate was from my insurance. They really didn't have an answer for me. The office manager told me that it was my responsibility to know what was covered by my insurance. I told her I did know that the white amalgam was not covered, which is why I asked repeatedly if the estimate was from my insurance. I am very disappointed in the whole situation and don't think I will be back.

As I said this is the second time this has happened. I did have one visit in between the two when they got it right, so I had hope that the issue was fixed. Apparently not.

Midwest Dental is a great place to have your dental needs addressed. The staff, from the person at the front desk, to the hygienists, to the Doctors are all very professional and knowledgeable. The waiting area is always very comfortable and clean. Finally, everyone is so polite and friendly.

The dentist didn’t listen to my concerns, and proceeded to argue with me. They have had massive turnover, I don’t recognize anyone anymore. After going here 20 years, I’m going to look for a new dentist. What happened to a caring approach in the medical fields and allowing the patient to have a say in their treatment?
