If you want an office with efficient dentistry this is a great location. However, if you want a dentist with bedside manner and respect for the dignity of his patients, this is not the place for you. My experience getting cavities filled here was one of the worst dental experiences I have ever had. Prior to getting cavities filled, I had only had a singular cleaning/consult at this location, so I was new and unfamiliar with the staff and procedures. Dr. Chocholik did not explain anything he was doing to me throughout the entire procedure.
. . his assistant was the one to give brief explanation to what was going on. Only a brief "hello" was given before he was injecting numbing agent into my mouth, without even telling me that it was going to happen. There was repeatedly spit/water on my face, completely normal during dental procedures, but the time and care wasn't even taken to wipe it off. When his assistant made a joke that she was "bad luck" because a tool wasn't working he joked that, quote, "it's because you're a woman.
" Though the assistant did not seem to be bothered by this joke, these kinds of statements are demeaning and disrespectful to both female staff and female patients. I acknowledge that he was trying to make a joke, but I felt that the joke was uncouth, uncalled for, and unprofessional. He made an already unpleasant experience even more uncomfortable. I will note that the office staff at this location were very kind, and made the walkthrough of cost and scheduling very simple. The hygienists also seem to be welcoming/kind, but I did not have the chance to get to know them.

Terrible. It was the worst experience I have ever had at a dentist office. The dentist did not introduce himself or talk to me. He also did not use any numbing tool as in (oral gel) before you he stuck the needle on my cheek. And they knocked the tubing from my nitro gas as I was getting stuck with the needle in my face.
I will never go there again. The Midwest Oakwood dental office is much better. I highly recommend them instead of south Midwest Dental.
