Detailed Introduction

Milktooth Pediatric Dentistry is a dedicated pediatric dental clinic located at 2127 W Chicago Ave, Chicago, IL 60622. Founded by Dr. Amy Shah and Dr. Quinn, the clinic aims to revolutionize pediatric dentistry by offering a unique, patient-centered approach that goes beyond traditional check-ups. They emphasize kind, individualized care, creating a positive and engaging environment for infants, children, and adolescents to foster excellent oral health from a young age and for a lifetime. The clinic's philosophy centers on promoting health through preventative dentistry and a holistic, whole-body approach. They delve into factors such as personal microbiome, pH levels, nutrition, and environmental influences to develop personalized care plans. Services include infant dentistry, comprehensive exams, personalized nutritional guidance, bacterial testing (Cari Screen), prophylactic cleanings, tailored anti-cavity treatments, and the use of advanced technology like Diagnodent for radiation-free cavity detection and Solea CO2 Laser for minimally invasive treatments (often without the need for shots, drills, or numbing). They also offer tooth-colored fillings, biocompatible dental sealants, tooth-colored crowns (zirconia, unlike traditional metal crowns), dental emergencies, tooth extractions, and specialized treatments like tongue and lip tie releases (frenectomy). They also offer sedation options including nitrous oxide and IV sedation for anxious children or extensive procedures. Milktooth Pediatric Dentistry prioritizes a fun and stress-free patient experience. Their office, located in Chicago's Ukrainian Village, is designed with both toddlers and teens in mind, featuring a modern, inviting space with Scandinavian aesthetics blended with bright colors, amenities like refreshing beverages, cozy seating, an iPad station, a kids' play area, and TVs with headphones in every treatment room. The team, described as empathetic, knowledgeable, and compassionate, strives to build trust and make dental visits enjoyable. They also provide support and education to parents on maintaining their children's oral health and offer convenient online new patient forms and clear guidance on insurance.

We saw Jonathan and Dr. Kayla for our 3 yr olds first cleaning/visit. Jonathon was so kind and cheerful , and made sure to explain everything to parents and child. He was very attentive to child’s needs. Dr Kayla was also great, very patient and great with kids. Beautiful office and friendly staff. Couldn’t ask for a better 1st visit!

Came here the first time today for my daughter’s cavities. Everybody was really nice and kept me updated on what was going on, they Descriptively described to me the treatment plans and even showed me the X-rays of the affected teeth. They were also very quick to get me on a treatment plan which is very nice because the past place I used to go to was about a 9 month wait to treat one cavity.

we had a great first time. 🙂

Had a pretty terrible experience at a different pediatric dentist 6 months ago so was pretty anxious about this visit. Our expectations were exceeded in every possible way. The team was patient and kind and catered their care to my child's needs instead of what felt like a "one size fits all" approach to helping kids cope with what could be a stressful experience. Clean and quiet facility.

Plenty of kids books in the waiting room and the bright green balloon was the icing flavored toothpaste on the top of a lovely experience. The yearly subscription model also is a great value and rather novel considering how much of a scam dental (slash all) insurance is in this country. And the free parking is a nice perk too. Very pleased we found Milktooth and looking forward to 6 months from now!

We always have the BEST experience at Milktooth! We started going in 2022 with my now 5-year-old daughter, and we just took my 2-year-old son for his first ever dental visit this past week. The entire staff and office is so friendly, welcoming, and fun -- making little ones feel immediately at ease.

The dental hygienists and dentists are professionals at working with kids - absolutely no tears or issues with brushing, flossing or even scraping plaque off teeth! HIGHLY recommend Milktooth for any parents of toddlers or kids who need a dental visit. Thank you Milktooth for being amazing!!!
