I’m 27 and have been going here since I was a child. I’ve never had a bad experience and have always been treated well…until last year. My first negative experience came last January when I came in for a cleaning. I arrived and met their new receptionist. She seemed nice but I had just turned 26 and needed to update my dental insurance. The appointment was fine but after my appointment my parents proceeded to get billed for my visit and “lack of insurance. ” I had to call back two times in order for them to bill me correctly even though I was assured by the receptionist that everything was in order. Then, in March, I noticed that one of my wisdom teeth had become a problem. I called the place and spoke to the same receptionist about needing my wisdom teeth removed and was told that I needed to come in for a consultation first. I made the appointment, arranged for work to let me leave early, and arrived on time. After 20 minutes, I asked the receptionist if she knew when they could see me. It appeared like she’d forgotten I was there and said she would check. Not 30 seconds later, I was seen. They didn’t look in my mouth, didn’t use any tools, and told me they didn’t remove wisdom teeth there but they could refer me to an orthodontist. This, in my opinion, could have been a 30 second phone conversation.

The actual appointment lasted 3 minutes…and of course, I was billed. I called the receptionist when I received the bill and asked what it was for? Apparently it still counted as a full consultation and visit. I paid my bill over the phone and then proceeded to get rebilled for the “consultation” 3 times after that! Sometimes MONTHS later. I called each time and spoke to the same receptionist who told me each time that this was the time it was actually corrected, and yes-she could see that I had paid and no-she had no idea why this kept happening. My next 6 month cleaning was scheduled in June or July or last year. Due to a work conflict, I called and asked in advance to reschedule. The receptionist told me that there were no 4:00 appointments until May of 2025. There was nothing I could do but make the appointment. I work in Milwaukee and need to make sure that on the days I have an appointment, that I can work from home and end early. I had received two different voicemails reminding me of my upcoming cleaning. I’m the last appointment for the day and I made sure to get there at 3:45pm. When I arrived, the receptionist looked confused and flustered because I was a new patient and the dentist had just left 10 minutes ago. I was confused and said that I’ve been a patient all my life. She then looked and realized I had “two accounts”. .

. can’t imagine how that happened with the lack of organization I’ve experienced. She then says that because I haven’t been seen in over a year that I would not be seen today. The dentist left and I need to be “checked out” first before the dental hygienists can clean my teeth. EXCUSE ME? What do you mean the dentist just left? She then said that he needed to “sneak out the door by 4 today. And you just missed him by 10 minutes. ” “But it’s 3:45 and I have a 4:00 appointment that I made LAST SUMMER. Did he not know about this appointment or did he not check?” “Yeah, no he probably didn’t know. Sorry. We’ll have to reschedule and we’re looking at late fall for 4:00. ” I then told her that she KNEW I was coming as she left me voicemails. In one of her voicemails, she mentioned how my insurance on file had expired and to come with my new insurance-which contradicted her early statement that I was a “new patient with no record. ” BUT even if I was new OR the fact that I hadn’t been seen in a year, I still would have had to be seen by the dentist in order to get my cleaning! And now I’m supposed to go almost two years without one because of their lack of ability to schedule their current clients and the fact that the dentist just…leaves?
