I came in with a failed root canal. At the time I got the root canal, Dr. Tromblay was my dentist. I asked the office for a referral to specialists who take insurance (for the retreat or tooth extraction). They refused. The office manager told me “the doctor doesn’t know anyone who takes insurance” and then she hung up on me.

I ended up finding an amazing periodontist and endodontist - both listed as top doctors in DC - had fantastic experiences with both. Shocked at the behavior of this practice. I would have kept Dr. Tromblay as my dentist for the new crown I need and for cleanings and x-rays but as soon as the office manager hung up on me and refused referrals that saved me thousands of dollars, I cancelled the teeth cleaning I had scheduled with the office the following week. Would not recommend.

Dr. Tromblay has been my dentist since 2007, and I would highly recommend him and his practice. The office is well-run and efficient, the entire staff is friendly and so nice, and above all, they do great work. They (and especially Dr. Tromblay) take the time to talk through everything, and to answer questions and discuss any concerns or problem areas. They make suggestions, but they never push treatments. They stay up to date with the latest technology, innovations, and training in their field, so you feel like you are getting cutting edge care.

I’ve seen Dr. Taylor a few times and really like her as well. Amanda is the hygienist I’m currently seeing and she is great (both she and all the other hygienists I’ve had there have been gentle, thorough and very pleasant). They make the entire experience as comfortable and painless as a dental visit can be. The bottom line is that I trust them with my oral health and also just genuinely like them.

The front desk staff are friendly and professional and helpful in both scheduling and rescheduling. Dr. Rachel Taylor did a new crown for me. She was also friendly and, although the process was long, she did a great job of explaining each step and making sure I was comfortable. When I had a problem with the temporary crown, she worked me into her schedule the very next day.

I have already recommended her to a friend. And last, but not least, the dental assistants (for me, Fatuma and Ali) are friendly and attentive and thorough. This practice is not inexpensive, but they do great work and follow-up.
