I can't believe I am rating a dentist 4 stars, I hate going to dentists, but when I cracked a tooth 3 weeks ago, and looked for the closest dentist to me, Dr. Murphy was able to see me during what would normally be his lunch hour. Yesterday I had a cleaning and checkup at my new dentist office, Murphy Family Dentistry.

New patient, waited two months for a scheduled cleaning appointment. At time of appointment told them I had a cracked crown and tooth pain, was told it can be looked at then. Asked to be added to the cancellation list to get in sooner.

Showed up today for my appointment, front desk says she has no appointment for me scheduled today but sees I’m a new patient on the cancellation list and can see what they have available. Um no thank you! How do you get on the “cancellation list” to get in faster if you don’t have an appointment on the schedule! I wasted 45 minutes of my work day!

My wife and I have been visiting for years, and they just make dental visits EASY. It’s gotten to the point where I look forward to going, as ridiculous as it sounds, because I get to check it off the list of bi-annual health items, and it’s just that much less of an ordeal than the dentist’s office was growing up. The staff are all big smiles and great conversation. The office is quiet and relaxed, and the dental hygienists are EXCELLENT at what they do! They just make the whole experience easy. Dr.

Murphy himself is EFFICIENT. He’s incredibly well educated, and provides the comfort that the work you need to get done gets done; no more, no less. Dr. Murphy clearly takes a great deal of pride in applying a long-term perspective to the quality of life of his patients and staff.
