My Favorite Dental Clinic

If you're wondering why there aren't more negative reviews than there are, the office requires new patients to sign an agreement saying that they will not make any public statement that makes the clinic look bad. I was overdue for a dental exam, so I reluctantly signed. Soon after, a woman (possibly the dentist) came out and said that I had not signed one of the forms. It was the glorified NDA and it was blank. She had swapped out the form I signed with a blank one. I told her that I had signed it, and that all four of the pages I was given were completed and handed back. After some arguing, she admitted to having the signed form, but took issue with the fact that my signature was not identical on both documents.

Admittedly, I became irritated when I found out that I needed to sign my rights away to access basic medial treatment, and that was visible in the appearance of the last signature. I asked why their assumption was that I would automatically have a negative experience, but received no answer to that question. I was asked if I had an anxiety condition (I guess she was too stupid to read the form I had just filled out disclosing my medical history), and was told I would not be seen by the doctor. I asked for the paperwork back, and, initially, the woman refused. I pushed back several times stating that if medical services were not going to be offered, there was no need for a legal agreement between us. I finally got the documents back, and that is the only reason I am able to write this critical review. While the above is the main reason for this review, I also wanted to point out three more minor issues.

First, there was a surveillance camera in the waiting room spying on patients. Second, another portion of the legal agreement involves missing two appointments, even if they are not two consecutive appointments. For those patients, there is an essay assignment - I couldn't make that up if I tried! Finally, to illustrate how unprofessional a supposed medical expert's office was, the sign on the interior door said to notify them if "U R PREGNANT. " Yes, it was spelled "U R. " By the time you graduate medical school, you should be able to spell "you are. "

Dr Ma and her staff are the best! Very helpful and they keep me calm. Always explains everything from cleanings to insurance. Totally would recommend this practice.

That Oneguy

One of the best dentists in the area. Their prices are fair, and their office workers are very nice. Their facilities are very clean, and Dr. Ma is very nice. She did great work on my teeth, and was very accommodating of my fear of needles. She let my family hold my hand when she injected the numbing stuff. Overall, great place! Kid friendly too!

The doctor cleaned my teeth. She was deft with her hands, professional, and quick as all get out. Jessica at the front desk was very kind. Will be coming back.
