I would like to emphasize the recent one star reviews with regards to a lack of cost transparency and dishonesty about accepting my insurance as payment. They said they accepted my insurance but they do not and are not in network.
I had the same experience with this provider as I ended up paying hundreds out of pocket for a routine check up/ cleaning that was billed far beyond what insurance would or should cover.

I went here for a routine cleaning. I had called the office and asked if they took my insurance and they said yes. I gave all my insurance information in the portal prior to my appt. Usually a dental office will check the coverage with the dental insurance and look at benefits when this is given. A couple weeks later I received a very high bill from them. I was confused as a routine cleaning should be covered completely. I called and spoke with Talia, who said that they are out network.
I asked why did you guys not tell me you were out of network when I booked and asked about my insurance?? I asked if you took my insurance and you said yes and I gave you my info. No one is calling a dental office asking if they take insurance looking for it to be out of network, obviously as a patient we are asking for in network. Talia said “they do not volunteer they are out of network unless the patient asks. ” I’m sorry…. . come again?? That sounds like medical fraud. I told them I would not be paying this bill as they purposely left that out to get more money.
I’ve been to many dental and doctor offices and if I ask about insurance they have ALWAYS been up front about being out of network. Also to add, the Dr. did a pulp test on me that I found out later was $70 out of pocket for a 2 second act. He should of been up front that it cost extra, but now knowing this scam that they run with purposely not mentioning out of network and tricking patients, I am not surprised.

The experience was amazing! Nothing like any other dentist I’ve been too. I recently had to make the change due to my old dentist not taking my health insurance any more. I’m glad I did. Everyone is so nice and accommodating. I highly recommend this office!

I would advise to not go here. I agree with the other 3 one star reviews in the last 7 months that this practice is dishonest about billing cost and insurance. My husband and I called several local dentists looking for someone who accepts Delta Dental and My Saratoga Dentist said they did. I said, “Great because I do not want to go somewhere I have to pay out of pocket and then get reimbursed or anything. ” And they said, “No we accept your insurance, we don’t do that. ” Then when we got to the appointment, they said that they never said that but its ok because our insurance would cover everything but we would have to pay in full first and get reimbursed by insurance.
I told them I would be very angry if I didn’t get everything back and they said it would be fine. They even upsold us that we needed to get x-rays done. I again said I do not want them if it is not covered and they said it was covered. We paid hundreds of dollars out of pocket, less than half was reimbursed by insurance. When I reached out to them to let them know how inappropriate this was, they told me that this hasn’t happened before (see other 3 comments in the last 7 months). Then they told me that they would talk to their office staff about the issue but in the same exchange encouraged me to contact my insurance company to ask if they could pay more, seeing as there were no providers that accepted delta dental.
As an FYI for anyone with Delta Dental, there are several providers that are in network in the area, so this is incorrect. They then told me that what my insurance reimbursed is not enough for them to keep their doors open, so they need to charge more. I work with peoples insurances daily, this was inappropriate.
