DO NOT GO HERE! This is the worst place possible for any kind of care. This place will keep sending you bills for the same services over and over even after you have paid them off. This "business" is almost as bad as a loan shark who you can never pay off completely.

I am dealing with things that I have paid for almost 2 years ago and there still coming back asking for more money. If possible make the drive and go anywhere else.

The very reason I left there is due to the receptionist that work there, I would tell them, Hey I'm on night shift, please no super early appointments, every single time it was first thing in the morning, would call them back, no answer, over and over again, drove up there, looked through the window, called the number, no one answered, spoke with the Dr about it, she got an attitude with me, I'm like really? I'm the problem? I was looking for a clinic when I found you. .

. later!!!!

my uncle was in the hospital and he was very very sick. We had him put in hospice in the hospital. I was so impressed with the nurses that took care of him. And compasses is the name of the hospice group. They were absolutely wonderful. My uncle was taken care of until he passed away on May 31. They kept him clean they kept him medicated properly.

He passed, very comfortably and in no pain. The nurses went out of their way to play music for him and to turn him. They took excellent care A+ with the nurses and the hospice team. I couldn’t have asked for things to go more smooth. I think you are very very much.

After a couple years of seeing this practice, I've decided to end my association with it, at least for now, due to multiple issues. Primarily, I've had strong concerns about the ethics of their practices under Ascension St. Joseph. Even more so under their new ownership by MyMichigan Health. They effectively coerce or trick patients into signing away all of their rights—HIPAA, financial, malpractice, etc. —in a document that they have you sign before ~most visits. This was normally done on a tablet with a specialized app where there was no bypass mechanism, even though in the agreement it says it's "not a condition of treatment". Today, 1/2/2025, was the first time (that I can recall) I've been given this agreement to sign on paper.

It's still unclear whether you can actually decline this and still receive treatment or not. My PCP has also consistently been using the wrong terminology to describe and treat my condition. I've been doing my best to gently correct it, usually in person, and it's happened multiple times. My latest Rx even has the incorrect terminology printed on the bottle! This specific condition was updated in the DSM a staggering TWO YEARS BEFORE I WAS BORN, so there's been ample time and information out there to get this right. Regardless of technical accuracy, the bedside manner leaves a bit to be desired. I've been treated in a way like you'd expect someone to treat a borderline addict and/or criminal, just to receive some basic, highly-beneficial medication for one of my conditions. There's been a great effort on their part to mitigate all risks to themselves, but proportionally much less to understand and treat conditions effectively or treating patients with respect. Being a small community, it's incredibly disheartening to have one of the main care centers available be so crummy.

The people here deserve a lot better. It's not all bad, however. The Phlebotomist they have on staff is incredible; seriously. . . the most consistent, issue-free blood draws I've ever seen! Most of the admin staff and technicians in this facility are also pleasant to work with too, despite occasional snags in working through issues with prescriptions. I hope they can get feedback to the right places up the chain of management and figure these issues out.
