Detailed Introduction

Neighborcare Health at High Point (Medical and Dental) is a well-established, non-profit community health clinic located in the High Point neighborhood of West Seattle. It is part of the larger Neighborcare Health organization, which has been serving the Seattle area, Vashon, and Olympia for over 50 years. The clinic's mission is to provide comprehensive, high-quality healthcare to families and individuals who face barriers to accessing care, particularly low-income and uninsured patients. The High Point clinic offers a wide range of services, including primary medical care for all ages (preventive care, chronic condition management, gynecology, reproductive health, pregnancy and newborn care, pediatrics, vaccinations, STI/HIV care, and gender-affirming care), comprehensive general dentistry (exams, cleanings, fillings, extractions, emergency care, and some specialty services), and behavioral health services (mental health and substance use recovery, including social work services). They also provide WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) nutrition services and assistance with insurance enrollment. A key aspect of Neighborcare Health at High Point is its commitment to accessibility and equity. They accept most insurance plans, including Apple Health (Medicaid), Medicare, and private plans. For those without insurance, they offer a sliding fee discount program based on family size and income, ensuring that no one is denied services due to inability to pay. Furthermore, the clinic provides free on-site interpretation services in multiple languages, with staff speaking a diverse range of languages, including Khmer, Somali, Spanish, and Vietnamese, to ensure culturally sensitive care. They also offer same-day appointments and telehealth options. Neighborcare Health emphasizes a "healthcare home" model, fostering long-term relationships between patients and providers. The clinic is staffed by a dedicated team of professionals, including physicians, dentists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, dental hygienists, and social workers. Its long history, rooted in the Civil Rights Movement and the birth of community health centers in Seattle in the late 1960s, underscores its deep commitment to community health and social justice.

I am so disappointed this place. I have been here for 6yrs already. I will not comeback here. Here is my story. I had an appointment for my daughter for check up, I made that appointment for over a month. I was busy and I came by clinic the day before to ask them that possible for my mom helping me to take my baby there for her appointment instead of me. They said that is fine, they asked my mom information and I provided for them.

The next day my mom took my baby there and they said they did not have her information in their system. Excuse me? I was checked up during my pregnancy at your clinic and last time this clinic gave her vaccinated so who did you serve? Ridiculous. They tried to banish my mom and my baby. If you can not take them in why did you tell me the day before then we can reschedule appointment? They had been rude to my family. They did cancel my appointment couple months ago cause of double booked even that appointment was coming up in 3 days.

The doctors are spread out due to lack of employment pcps are pediatricians now without training. Infant no one has training on anything basically this is a place to go to be referred to actual doctors. Please do not follow any instructions given by these people. Just allow them to refer you which will take months but your health is worth it.

The Asian lady with Vietnamese accent at the reception is very rude & unprofessional. She was saying inappropriate jokes and telling me that I should pronounce someone’s name correctly. I’m not sure from what village you came from but you definitely don’t know common courtesy and customer service. With this attitude I think you shouldn’t be in a customer service position.

I’d recommend to apply for a janitor or a cook maybe, seems it’d fit you better… In any way I hope this review will reach to the top management or even owner of the company, so appropriate action can be taken. Otherwise, your business will be in shambles due to poor attitude & customer service of your reception staff. As it already reflects on you Google 2. 7 rating…

Sharon Levine is extremely unprofessional and I'm truly shocked they're employed anywhere working directly with the public. My appointment was scheduled for 10:30, I got there at 10:10 with plenty of time to work with. I was put in a room quickly, the young man who checked me in was very nice and professional. I waited for at least 20 minutes before Sharon came in.

She quickly tried to get me out as fast as possible, not really listening to what I was saying. Then had the audacity to tell me I should have been ready at a reasonable time. As a doctor coming in to an appointment 30 minutes late, telling me I need to be more responsible with time.
