I’ve been a patient for almost 3 years now since I sought out Dr Diers for his assistance after my jaw specialist in MI retired during COVID. I have a complex and complicated situation that recently required double jaw joint replacement surgery. Dr Diers is great at what he does but I imagine many people are puzzled that he and his staff discuss airways, breathing, sleep apnea and TMJ when there’s an assumption that orthodontists only make teeth pretty. That’s what many of them do-which is fine if that is truly the only treatment that is needed.

I’ll complete my orthodontic treatment within 6 months or so but my jaw treatment (which I had for the first year I was with Dr Diers) resulted in a slightly widened airway that allowed me to give up a CPAP machine and to actually sleep through the night and wake up on my own the next morning which I’d never done in my life! Now in combination with my surgery I have the full airway capacity that most adults have and I cannot believe the difference in how I feel - alert, ready to start my day, able to breathe through my nose despite congestion and better memory. Dr Diers explains what he is doing but you also have to ask questions- of him and his staff. He is always learning and researching and Dr Diers teaches at IU. He is dedicated to teaching the next generation of dental professionals his successful and patient-centered approach to practicing orthodontics and letting them know that seeing the WHOLE patient, not just their teeth, is the most important and effective means for finding the best treatment.

I’d also like to add that most of Dr Diers’ staff have been with him for 10+ years and a few of them for 20! How an employer treats his employees is another way to know the kind of professional you’re dealing with when you choose to come to Diers Orthodontics.

Dr. Diers is absolutely by far, one of the best doctors I have dealt with! He is kind, extremely intelligent in his field, answers all questions thoroughly, and listens attentively to all your concerns. He has your best interest at heart, which is hard to find now-a-days. He is very compassionate about his work, and it shows. I had TMJ and he made me a special splint that I wore for quite some time. Today, almost 1 year later, I can honestly say my ailment is 95% improved.

The whole entire staff are the very best! They are sweet, pleasant, professional and attend to your needs at all times. I couldn't have had a better experience. Many Thanks to you Dr. Dier's and your wonderful staff.

Our consultation was very thorough. Dr.Diers pointed out things that our previous doctor didn't even mention that would help our child tremendously down the road.
