I have struggled over the years with anxiety and fear just entering a dental office, but the staff and providers here are absolutely amazing! They definitely made going to the dentists an enjoyable experience! I felt so calm and comfortable.

I felt like everything they explained I Could completely understand! Not just a dentist, but these are healthcare professionals at their best! I can’t wait to post before and after pictures!

I had a tooth break and needed immediate assistance for an extraction. After several phone calls, Newport Family Dental Care was able to fit me in. I had been to this dentist many years ago and the experience was fine. Everything was going as expected until a different product was used called Ozone, the use of the product is supposed to kill bacteria and make the blood clot. I was not told of any side effects or adverse reactions that could potentially occur. I was quickly rushed through signing the consent documents, that i regrettably should have read. While administering the product I inhaled a breath through my mouth, which caused me to inhale the Ozone product. This immediately caused my heart rate to increase exponentially (I already have tachycardia, which was stated on my intake paperwork) and I began to cough uncontrollably.

Within seconds, I could not get a breath. I was being told I was having a panic attack but I was the most frightened I had ever been in my life. I continued struggling to breath for almost an hour and could not physically talk so they called my husband to pick me up. This happened during lunch hour, so when patients started being seen again, they couldn't get me out of there fast enough. While waiting on my husband the dental assistant checked my blood pressure, it was extremely low. My husband picked me up and I felt like I was able to somewhat breath, although i was still gasping, I opted to go home instead of the ER. After almost two full hours of not being able to breath, I was exhausted and laid down for nap. My breathing returned to normal but I was weak and got winded quickly for the next couple days.

Then after all that I was still charged just under $500 to extract ONE tooth. Upon further investigation, I discovered that this is the reaction you get when OZONE is inhaled. The article said it will trigger a "fight or flight response " in the body. A protective cover should have been placed around where OZONE was being administered to prevent inhalation from occurring. I do not recommend this office, I literally paid $500 to experience the most frightening moment of my life.

I was new to the area and had a crown that popped off. I had a friend recommend Newport family dental, so I sent them an email explaining my situation. I got a phone call the next day saying they could get me in that day to get it fixed for me. Everyone there was super friendly and helpful and I will definitely be using them for all my dental needs now.
