Dr. Nifong has been my dentist for as long as I've had teeth; and I will continue going to him for all my dental needs. I moved almost 10 years ago and now live 45 mins away from his office; but I'd rather make the drive than find any other dentist. His staff, like Mary and Debbie, are always friendly and helpful and take pride in knowing their patients by name. Janene, the hygienist I always see does a great job; and Dr.

Nifong is always professional. A good dentist is hard to find; if you're tired of looking I recommend calling Dr. Nifong.

I have been going to Dr. Nifong's office for years. My hygienist left for reasons unknown and another hygienist did my cleaning. It was the worst experience I have ever had and I am unsure I will return. She was rude, offensive, did not ask about updates in medications or overall health since my last appointment, tried to sell me a sensitivity toothpaste and after I politely declined there was continued pressure for me to buying it. I have never had a cavity in my life and none with this visit was shared with me.

She was rough handed to the point my jaw hurt from her leaning on it, didn't rinse my mouth when needed, I choked on mown spit and water when she did rinse she never told me when to close mouth on the vacuum nozzle. She made me bleed and I never have before from a cleaning. I literally had to take a break and got up out of my chair. My mouth was full of blood and spit and she would not let me spit in the sink - she handed me the nozzle! I do not feel my teeth are clean and when I asked for another cleaning to be scheduled with someone else she told me no I couldn't have another for 6 months. I told her politely I would pay out of pocket if insurance didn't cover it because I love Dr. Nifong as my dentist.

I shouldn't even have to pay for a re-do after that horrific experience. I am very disappointed and she aware of my discomfort and still spoke to me in a condescending and demeaning way. I am beside myself and it's 2 days after the experience.
