If I could leave a 0 star review I totally would. I scheduled an appointment more than 2 months ago, then they called me yesterday when I was working and I just didn’t confirm the appointment because I WAS BUSY WORKING, and then they just cancelled my appointment without telling me. What a waste of time and disrespectful thing to do to a customer I will never never go back

I switched to Nokomis Family Dental for my semi-annual teeth cleanings, and preventative maintenance ( like fluoride treatments). They're good folks. The dentist, hygienists, and admins are competent, do good work, and are friendly. They have not pressured me into work I don't need. Definitely recommend.

This practice engages in the unfortunate practice of dental overtreatment. When this office was Dr. Shand several years ago, I was a regular patient. I had several years of no cavities, nothing wrong, no work needed and Dr Shand was thorough. As soon as it became Nokomis Family Dental, the very first cleaning they told me that I needed several fillings.

I declined to schedule treatment and went to another dental office. I have been at that other dental office for over a year and they also say that nothing is needed. Nokomis Family Dental recommends treatment that is unnecessary and not needed. I would recommend looking elsewhere for a dentist or at least look at getting a second opinion when they recommend a bunch of treatments out of the blue.

Always friendly and professional. Willing to go the extra mile for patients whether making them feel comfortable in the chair or at the front desk helping with insurance and billing. I feel supported and understood with each visit. I highly recommend making them your regular dentist!
