I had my first appointment at Bolosan DDS today. Initially, I scheduled it merely because the location was convenient. But leaving their office, I realized they have much more to offer. The front end staff (doing reception, billing, scheduling) was extremely helpful and Robin especially is a great email communicator. The hygenist took the time to explain everything she was doing to my teeth in layman's terms. Compared to other hygenists, she was also very gently with the necessary poking and prodding.

Dr. Bolosan himself is very friendly and nothing he said or did made me question his ability - very competent. So I will be a Bolosan patient for some time to come. Bothellites- if you have no dentist (or just a bad one), this is a great dentist office to use.

Dr. Bolosan is amazing! I've been going to him since I've stopped seeing the children's dentist. He himself is a great doctor and if any referrals need to be made for oral surgeries, you can wholeheartedly trust any person he recommends. I have never had a disappointing experience.

Himself and his staff are the whole reason since I left for college that I arrange my cleanings or other work to be done while I'm home visiting. There are never enough words to describe this office. If you need a dentist or looking for one, this place is one you should try.

I have had Dr. Bolosan for nearly 20 years. He and his team are fantastic. I enjoyed the thoroughness and professionalism, and his excitedly talking about new technologies in dentistry over the years. The only reason I am no longer his patient is because I moved too far away. I tried to make a long distance dental relationship (LDDR) work, but it took too much time.

. . commuting. His office was even helpful in hooking me up with a dentist where I moved. I highly recommend this office.

Avoid This Practice – Unethical and Outdated Dr. Bolosan’s office stopped accepting my insurance (Premera) without informing me directly. I only found out after my cleaning when the claim was submitted, leaving me with an unexpected bill. They claimed there was a sign at the front desk, but relying on that instead of proactively notifying patients is both unprofessional and unacceptable. A simple email or call—like other responsible healthcare providers send—would have prevented this issue. After this experience, we switched to a new dentist, and the difference in care was staggering. My new provider conducted a thorough initial exam, took detailed photos of my mouth from multiple angles, and created a personalized treatment plan while explaining everything clearly. One major red flag from Dr. Bolosan’s office became even more apparent during my visit to the new dentist.

I had previously asked their hygienist about a spot on my gums during my last cleaning in September, and they dismissed it as “normal” without further investigation. When my new dentist noticed the same spot, they immediately asked when I first saw it. When I mentioned I had asked my previous dentist months ago, they asked, “Did they take a photo for comparison?” When I said no, they were shocked. “Why not? You always want a baseline for future evaluations. ” That moment made it clear—Dr. Bolosan’s office lacks attention to detail and genuine patient care. Beyond that, my new dentist’s practice is significantly more advanced. They use updated equipment, conduct oral cancer screenings (something I never received at Dr. Bolosan’s office), and provide a level of thoroughness that makes a real difference in patient care.

To make matters worse, when my husband reached out to discuss the unexpected charge due to their failure to notify us about the insurance change, they refused to waive it. It’s shady and unacceptable. Other healthcare providers handle this professionally—my eye doctor, for example, took the time to email patients when they changed insurance policies. Dr. Bolosan’s office chose not to, which I consider highly unethical. The office itself feels outdated, from the equipment to their overall approach. Switching to Koczarski Family & Aesthetic Dentist has shown me what modern, patient-focused dental care should be. If you value transparency, modern technology, and a dentist who actually cares about their patients, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
