I do not like going to the dentist. I never have. I feel anxious and nauseated. BUT I feel so much better and at ease going here. I was a little worried to try to find a new dentist when I moved to Grand Rapids, but I went here after two co-workers recommended it. I also bring my kids here. Everyone is so nice and accommodating. I like that the clinic is small, clean, and everyone seems to get along. Recently I needed a cavity filled.

I was very impressed at how pain free and quick it was. The receptionists are also helpful and knowledgable. And our hygienists are quick, compassionate, and thorough. If you're looking for a new dentist, I can't recommend this place enough. I really appreciate them and all they do to help keep my family's teeth in great shape. Also, I hadn't seen a dentist in about 2 years before coming here because of a bad experience somewhere else. The staff here didn't make me feel bad one bit. They were just there to help and get us back on track. Big relief!

I was previously a patient here for a couple of years, and have always thought the front desk staff and hygienists were very friendly, and save this review from being 1 star. I recently asked opt out of dental x-rays, I was only there for a cleaning. They told me they could not see me if I did not consent to the X-rays. They told me to let them know if/when I'd like to reschedule. Two days later I received certified mail from the dentist dismissing me from the practice. I was already planning on looking for a new dentist, but was shocked to receive this letter.

In Michigan there is no law stating when dental x-rays must be taken. I understand that Dr. Dame may have felt he could not meet the standard of care without an x-ray, but this letter is condescending does not convey care. I do not have dental insurance and for them to dismiss someone who may have any number of reasons for not wanting to pay out of pocket for x-rays at that time who could have rescheduled seems short sighted. Additionally, I was frequently told I have cavities, while previously I have always had great dental exams, and oral health. The letter I received also notes that I had 2 cavities I neglected to treat, yet I had, had an appointment after this, and there was no mention of these cavities.

To have it addressed in this letter seems petty and unnecessary. I hope the $5. 58 postage was worth it.
