I have been a patient of Dr. Blanas for about 6 months now, and give her the highest recommendation. After moving to Chicago, I did not want to go find a new dentist and put it off for as long as I could. After receiving a recommendation from a co-worker, I am glad I choose North Shore Dental Associates.

Wow, Dr. Blanas is the best dentist & has the best crew that I have ever encountered in my 35+ years. Very thorough & very intelligent. I would HIGHLY recommend seeing Dr. Blanas. The environment is clean & always has enjoyable tunes on. The staff is friendly & organized. I could not say one negative thing and I have been going to Dr. Blanas semi-annually for at least five years.

Local Reed

Warning: I was taken advantage of recently by this office during an appointment. They were looking to get a mouth guard for my tendency to grind my teeth. They then sent a pre-estimate for this said guard, which I declined via email due to the cost. I attended a secondary appointment. While I walked in, I questioned what we were doing during the appointment, and they suggested it was for an old composite filling. This is in fact not was being done, they were planning to add composite to my front teeth.

There was no treatment plan and I did not consent to this procedure. I then found out that the dentist was unaware I had previously turned down the mouth guard and would not be moving forward. As it turns out, the work done to my front teeth was done because they thought I was moving forward with the guard. Which I has declined??? So the communication between myself, the clinic, and the dentist was for naught. They were not in the same page and they did not communicate to give my (the patient) the care needed. The dentist then kept complimenting my “new smile” in a way that was uncomfortable, because I was fine with my smile before.

Then, as I left I was stuck paying a bill I fully could not afford and was not offered a payment plan. Moving forward with this office, I would make sure you fully ask for a treatment plan and are your own advocate, because they will take advantage if not. I would give 0/10 if I could.

Dr. Weiss recently performed significant dental work for me. The work was outstanding and I am very pleased with the results. He took great care to both eliminate any pain, as well as showing an extremely high level of professional skill in the dentistry work performed. I could not be happier with the service and care I received.
