Northern Va Dental Clinic

The Northern Va Dental Clinic, often referred to as NOVA Dental Clinic, is a private non-profit 501(c)(3) organization established in 1994 by members of the Northern Virginia Dental Society. Its core mission is to provide critically-needed dental services to the underserved population of Northern Virginia, including residents of Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, Alexandria, Fairfax City, and Falls Church. The clinic operates through a unique public/private partnership involving dental professionals, local governments, and social service agencies. The clinic focuses on delivering affordable, comprehensive dental care, particularly for low-income and uninsured individuals aged 18 and older, whose individual/family income is at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines. They are recognized as a "safety net dental clinic," ensuring access to care regardless of insurance status. Northern Va Dental Clinic offers a broad spectrum of dental services aimed at restoring patients to an infection-free and functional state of oral health. Their services include: Preventative Care: Comprehensive exams, cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants, mouthguards, nightguards, oral cancer screenings, and oral health education. Restorative Procedures: Fillings, crowns, bridges, partial dentures. Endodontics: Pulpotomy and root canals (limited to up to two canals). Oral Surgery: Simple/surgical extractions and wisdom teeth removal. Periodontics: Soft tissue management, periodontal assessment, reevaluation, antimicrobial therapy, and scaling and root planing (deep cleaning). They utilize modern dental technology, including digital X-rays (intraoral and extraoral), and strive to create a comfortable and welcoming environment for all patients, including those with special needs and geriatric patients.
