Detailed Introduction

The Northern Virginia Dental Clinic (NVDC) is a distinguished private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, strategically located at 8221 Willow Oaks Corporate Dr #450, Fairfax, VA 22031, with contact number (703) 820-7170. Established in 1994 by dedicated members of the Northern Virginia Dental Society, its core mission is to provide critically needed, affordable oral healthcare services to the underserved and indigent population across the Northern Virginia region. This is achieved through a unique public/private partnership involving volunteer dental professionals, local governments, and social service agencies. The NVDC operates on a referral basis, accepting individuals who are deemed eligible through an established network of social service agencies. Eligibility criteria typically include being 18 years or older and having an individual/family income at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines. Residents of Arlington County, Fairfax County, Loudoun County, City of Alexandria, City of Fairfax, and City of Falls Church are primarily served, with a small percentage of Prince William County residents also potentially eligible, though a higher fee may apply. The clinic offers a comprehensive suite of dental services, aiming to determine each patient's current oral health, develop detailed treatment plans, and restore them to an infection-free and functional state. Services provided include, but are not limited to: comprehensive examinations (including digital x-rays), oral cancer screenings, restorative procedures (fillings), oral surgery, hard and soft tissue biopsies, endodontics (root canal therapy), periodontics (soft tissue management), prosthodontics (full and partial dentures, crowns), oral prophylaxis (cleanings), and emergency interventions. Beyond treatment, a significant emphasis is placed on patient education, highlighting the importance of maintaining good oral health, the impact of poor oral health on overall well-being, and proper home care techniques. The clinic also welcomes volunteer dentists, hygienists, and auxiliaries, offering flexible scheduling, including extended hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Fairfax location to accommodate more patients.

This place is publicly funded by the county. The facility has been moved to this location recently, it was on columbia pike in Falls Church a few years ago. Honestly, I feel bad for the docs and staff that was blamed as “stealing money” by the other comment cause they have no idea what they talking about. Be nice to your healthcare providers and stop being a Karen.

Dentists n dental hygieneists are exeptional, but the front desk lady has a Karen attitude and has rubbed me the wrong way twice to the point I had to decide to stop coming to the clinic. After three extractions n two cavity fillings I have called it quits becoz the front desk woman has an attitude speaks minimal Ingles. Espanol for English birthday American.

I fought her verbally two months ago n I be fed up with her Karen attitude I hope she doesn't mistreat other patients like me in the future.
