Dr. Wang is great. He’s a really knowledgeable doctor and always very kind. I had a gum issue that was very worrisome and he was patience with me.

I have been a patient of Dr. Wang’s for several years during which time he has performed multiple procedures on my gums. Recently, he performed a fairly costly procedure which my dental insurance didn’t fully cover and he was kind enough to write off a portion of the cost. Dr. Wang in my opinion is a competent and knowledgeable periodontist on gum disease.

It’s difficult to find a dentist who exhibits professionalism coupled with kindness,compassion, and excellent dental care. His staff are also extremely efficient and cordial. Going to the dentist isn’t pleasant but I can attest to always leaving my appointments satisfied after a positive experience.

My dentist referred me to Dr. Wang at Northern Virginia Perio Health for a complete periodontal exam. I requested an appointment on their very user-friendly website and received a reply via text message shortly after. The office is not far from my home; near Little River Turnpike on bus line (29K).

This is a plus for me since I use public transportation and Lyft. I was greeted by name upon arrival; very pleasant :) The office is well laid out and there is a fish tank :) The treatment areas are comfortable and nicely decorated. Office manager Angie is friendly and professional, and when I had to change my appointment due to time conflicts with another, she worked with me to reschedule. She also reached out prior to my appointment to go over my insurance coverage and out of pocket expenses.

Dental assistant Sandra guided me through the many x-rays taken and Dr. Wang was kind, putting me at ease from the first moment. I experienced minimal discomfort. I would gladly return to Northern Virginia Perio Health for any additional periodontal care :)

I recently underwent a gum graft procedure for my bottom teeth, and as a younger person in my early 30's, I was quite nervous and hesitant about it. As a result, I put the procedure off for years. This isn't a routine procedure for someone my age, and I always associated it with older individuals dealing with oral disease. However, my experience with Dr. Wang was exceptional. From the very beginning, I felt genuinely cared for.

Dr. Wang took the time to understand my concerns and worked closely with me to ensure I was comfortable every step of the way. Angie (front desk) was great in providing me a rough estimate as to how much the procedure would cost and literally broke down every cost. The procedure itself went smoothly, and the level of care I received was outstanding. What really stood out was how Dr. Wang went beyond the procedure to provide me with valuable advice on how to prevent future gum recession- and curb habits that were leading to more gum recession.

I learned that my gum issues were largely due to stress and teeth grinding at night, and he offered practical suggestions to address these root causes. Overall, I'm incredibly grateful for the compassionate and thorough care I received. I highly recommend Dr Wang. You'll be in great hands!
