Had a great experience both times I have used the Bloomfield Nova Dental location. The receptionists, the doctor and the hygienist were all friendly and fantastic. They made what can be a stressful experience very easy. From the moment I walk in, I'm made to feel important and welcome. The exams and procedures were professional and all questions were answered.

I was asked if I was comfortable and ok at various times. Even the biller at the end was friendly and fun. I would definately recommend this location to anyone looking for a new dentist.

My kids and I have been going to Nova dental the last 25 years. I have four sons, three are Adults and the youngest is 13 years old. I called back in November to make him and his Father an appointment and was told that his Dad missed too many appointments and had to do same day if he wanted to be seen, which wasn’t true. Fast forward my son was placed on the cancellation list due to no appointments being available.

So today I called to get an update and was told by Paula my 13 year old son has missed too many appointments and I stated nooo that’s not correct because you said the same thing about his father the last time I called. She then mentioned dates and the dates that she stated my son was out of town visiting family. All I wanted was a teeth cleaning appointment and was told by Paula that he could come in next week for an exam and X-rays and it would be up to the Dentist to clean his teeth or not. I’m not understanding how people in the public sector and have no accountability.

Paula could not explain WHY I was told the exact same thing about his Father when my son has been on the cancellation list awaiting an appointment. Needless to say We will no longer be going to Nova dental for anything. I am truly appalled by how I was treated.

This place deserves way more stars. Today was my second day in a row there. I shattered half my molar. I went in to this dental office blind. My health insurance provider sent me a list and they were on it. I’ve been to many, many dentists since the 1970s. This place is definitely in the top 5 of all time. They have a great front office, great oral hygienists, great technicians and great doctors.

I would recommend this place to my ex-wife to take our children there. That is the highest praise I can give as a father. I get why people leave negative reviews. I understand dental visits are scary. And it’s usually a once a year thing, if that, for most people. And having someone jam sharp tools *under your gums* is a very boundary erasing experience. But life is hard man. And if you haven’t kept up with daily flossing and brushing life in a dental chair is gonna be painful.

No matter how much numbing cream and novocaine you huff. Facts. Complaining about the reality of a dental visit is like complaining that the weights in the gym are heavy. Anyway, this place is great. I’m making these people my primary dental provider. So should you. PS: you only have to floss the teeth you want to keep.
